Profile Requirements: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping role within a bookkeeping, accountancy, or tax firm Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues High proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar) and Excel Proven ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities independently Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members Core responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering end-to-end bookkeeping services across multiple industries Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a high level of accuracy Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger maintenance Liaise directly with Spanish- and English-speaking clients, providing clear financial explanations and advice Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and firm procedures Assist accountants and tax advisors with year-end accounts, BAS/VAT, and tax preparation Review and mentor junior bookkeeping staff, providing technical guidance and quality control Identify process improvements and support the implementation of efficient bookkeeping systems and software Benefits: Competitive salary Opportunity to shape the HR function of a rapidly growing BPO.
