About the role
Signarama Montco is hiring a Bookkeeper to keep our books accurate and current, with additional work supporting a group of outside small-business clients.
Signarama Montco is a women-owned sign and graphics company with three locations in Montgomery County, PA: Willow Grove, Norristown and King of Prussia. As Bookkeeper, you will own the day-to-day accounting for Signarama Montco. You will also support bookkeeping for a select group of other small-business clients, most of whom run on QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Key responsibilities
Signarama Montco bookkeeping
- Record and categorize bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online.
- Enter and pay vendor bills for materials, subcontractors and installers, and track due dates.
- Create customer invoices for sign and graphics projects, including deposits and progress billing.
- Apply customer payments and follow up on open receivables.
- Reconcile bank, credit card and loan accounts each month and support month-end close.
- Record payroll journal entries and assist with sales tax tracking and filings.
- Maintain AP and AR aging reports and flag past-due items.
Outside client bookkeeping
- Maintain the books for a select group of other small-business clients in QBO.
- Manage bank feeds and rules, reconcile accounts and process AP and AR for those clients.
- Request missing receipts and statements and answer routine client questions.
- Assist with cleanup and catch-up projects for new clients.
Recordkeeping and year-end
- Keep financial documents organized and audit- and tax-ready.
- Track W-9s and prepare information for year-end 1099s.
- Coordinate with the outside CPA on year-end packages.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
- Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience with bank feeds, reconciliations, AP and AR.
- Solid understanding of debits, credits and basic accounting principles.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
- Ability to juggle several client files and deadlines at once.
- Clear, professional written and phone communication with clients.
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
Preferred
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification.
- Experience at an accounting firm or managing multiple client books.
- Familiarity with Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, Dext or similar tools.
- Experience with job-based billing, customer deposits or cleanup bookkeeping projects.
Compensation and benefits
Pay range: $24 – $31 per hour (about $50,000 – $65,000 per year), commensurate with experience. Candidates with QBO ProAdvisor certification and multi-client firm experience may be considered up to about $68,000.
