Type: Flexible (Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities available) Schedule: US or AEST business hours Location: Fully Remote Engagement: Independent Contractor Rate: Competitive USD hourly/monthly rates (scaled to experience and commitment) Start Date: ASAP / Rolling Placement What You'll Be Doing: Manage day-to-day accounts using platforms like QuickBooks Online or Xero , categorizing expenses, clearing backlogs, and maintaining up-to-date general ledgers. Generate and issue client invoices, track incoming payments, manage retainer billing, handle vendor bill payments, and issue reminders. Process international transactions and manage funds using multi-currency payment platforms (e.g., Airwallex, Wise, Stripe). Prepare clean monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow reports) across multiple accounts or revenue streams. Assist with tax filing prep and compliance alignment specific to US (IRS/GAAP) or Australian (ATO/BAS) standards. Who You Are: Proven track record working with foreign accounts—specifically US or Australian (AU) clients . Background as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Specialist, or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Advanced hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero . Practical experience handling multi-currency platforms (Airwallex, Wise) and international bank transfers. Flawless written and spoken English skills, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort managing remote workflows independently. Nice-to-Haves Familiarity with US GAAP/IRS guidelines or Australian BAS/GST tax regulations. Experience in specialized niches like e-commerce, creative industries, SaaS, or professional services.
