About the Role

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of an established Australian business operating across the wine industry.

This is a flexible, part-time remote role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.

Previous experience in the Australian wine industry is highly desirable,

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Reconciliations

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and bank reconciliations.
• Review and accurately allocate financial transactions.
• Upload and process supplier invoices for approval.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.

Invoicing & Financial Administration

• Prepare monthly client invoices, including management fees, commissions and expense recoveries.
• Track outstanding payments and follow up on receivables.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring, GST tracking and BAS preparation.
• Prepare regular financial updates for management.

Systems & Process Support

• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple business entities.
• Assist with improving and streamlining financial administration processes.
• Support financial reporting and other ad hoc administration tasks.

About You

• Experience in Australian bookkeeping and financial administration.
• Sound understanding of Australian GST, BAS and bank reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM would be highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Experience in the Australian wine industry preferred, alternatively food and beverage, FMCG or hospitality.
