Bookkeeper with AU experience (Work from Home)

The candidate we seek should have a minimum 2 years experience in a bookkeeping role in a public accounting practice, be highly motivated and be able to work autonomously.

The role is primarily responsible for the quality and accuracy of the day to day bookkeeping operations of key clients.

Key Responsibilities

• General bookkeeping duties for allocated clients including, but not limited to:
• o Purchase orders
• o Processing bills and assigning costs to customers
• o Invoicing
• o Reconciling the bank accounts
• Liaising with clients regarding their bookkeeping.
• Payroll – processing client payroll including:
• o Setting up new employees
• o Termination of employees
• o Processing payroll for multiple entities under multiple awards
• o Filing STP lodgments each pay and preparing end of year tax finalizations
• Superannuation – attending to monthly/quarterly superannuation payments.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly BAS returns.
• Ad-hoc accounting duties as and when required.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related course
• At least 2+ years relevant work experience in Australian public practice
• Experience with Xero (Xero certification)
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to work & deliver under pressure and to deadlines
• Maintain a positive 'can do' attitude
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have a stable internet connection for a work-from-home arrangement. The designated work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
