Job Description Boomi Subject Matter Expert (SME) DataFeed Integration | 5–6 Years Experience(Contract) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Boomi Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our DataFeed integration team. The ideal candidate brings 5–6 years of hands-on Boomi development experience and deep expertise in designing, building, and maintaining high-volume data integration pipelines. This role will serve as the technical authority on Boomi within the team, driving best practices, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust datafeed solutions. Position Details Experience Required: 5–6 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Domain: DataFeed Integration Location: Remote / Hybrid Key Responsibilities DataFeed Integration Development • Design, build, and maintain Boomi integration processes for high-volume datafeed pipelines, including batch and real-time data flows. • Develop and optimize Boomi processes to handle structured and unstructured data from multiple source systems (databases, APIs, flat files, EDI, etc.). • Implement data transformation, mapping, and enrichment logic using Boomi's scripting and mapping capabilities. • Build and manage scheduled and event-driven datafeed processes, ensuring reliability and performance at scale. Architecture & Technical Leadership • Act as the Boomi SME, providing technical guidance and architectural direction for integration solutions. • Define and enforce integration design patterns, coding standards, and documentation practices across the team. • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level Boomi developers. • Evaluate and recommend Boomi platform features, connectors, and upgrades relevant to datafeed operations. Operations & Support • Monitor and troubleshoot datafeed integration failures, latency issues, and data quality problems in production environments. • Implement error handling, alerting, and retry mechanisms for mission-critical datafeed processes. • Collaborate with data engineering and operations teams to ensure end-to-end data pipeline reliability. • Maintain and improve existing Boomi integrations to meet evolving business and technical requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration • Partner with business analysts, data owners, and downstream consumers to gather and translate integration requirements. • Participate in sprint planning, technical grooming, and design reviews in an Agile/Scrum environment. • Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration specs, data flow diagrams, and runbooks. Required Qualifications • 5–6 years of hands-on experience with Dell Boomi (AtomSphere) integration platform. • Strong expertise in Boomi components: Processes, Connectors, Maps, Business Rules, Decision shapes, and Scripting (Groovy/JavaScript). • Proven experience building and managing datafeed integrations across REST APIs, SOAP web services, SFTP, databases, and flat files. • Solid understanding of data transformation formats including JSON, XML, CSV, and EDI. • Experience with Boomi Atom/Molecule deployment, environment management, and release management. • Familiarity with data quality, deduplication, and error-handling patterns in integration design. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Boomi Professional Developer or Boomi Architect certification. • Experience with Boomi Flow or Boomi DataHub. • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native integration patterns. • Familiarity with ELT/ETL tools and data warehousing concepts. • Knowledge of master data management (MDM) or data governance frameworks. • Experience integrating with ERP or CRM systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or Workday.
