Purpose

  • Hunt, win, and launch new client relationships for Confie’s 2,000+ seat BPO. The BPO Sales Director is a quota-carrying, business creation role focused on bringing new logos to Confie BPO’s nearshore contact center and back-office services, delivered from two Class A facilities in Mexico. Primary targets are Property & Casualty and Health insurance organizations, including carriers, MGAs/GAs, agencies, health plans, TPAs, and related insurance industry firms. Secondary targets include similarly regulated industries such as financial services, life sciences, and telecom.
  • The Director builds and owns a self-sourced pipeline through their own and Confie’s network, LinkedIn, industry conferences, and direct outreach, partnering closely with Confie BPO's B2B marketing team to turn campaigns and events into qualified opportunities.
  • Typical deals range from $500K to $2M+ and are sold to heads of customer service, claims, or outsourcing, with final decision or input from the COO or equivalent executive. Once a deal is won, the Sales Director hands it off to Operations and Client Services for implementation and ongoing account management, and returns to hunting.
  • This is primarily an individual contributor role supported by marketing and sales administration resources. It may be performed remotely, and offers base salary plus uncapped commission tied to the revenue success of the clients the Director brings in.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new clients for Confie BPO's nearshore inbound and outbound voice and back-office services, including sales qualification, customer service, policy servicing, billing, first notice of loss (FNOL), TPA claims adjudication, and P&C back-office support
  • Build and maintain a self-sourced pipeline of qualified opportunities through personal network, LinkedIn, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events, with primary focus on P&C and Health insurance organizations
  • Partner with the B2B marketing lead to plan and execute targeted campaigns, account-based outreach, content, and event strategy; follow up quickly on marketing-generated leads and provide feedback on lead quality
  • Represent Confie BPO at industry conferences, trade shows, and association events: book meetings in advance, work the floor, and convert event contacts into active opportunities
  • Run full-cycle complex sales from first contact through close, including discovery, solution design with Operations, proposals and RFP responses, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Engage and multi-thread across buying committees, including heads of customer service, claims, operations, and outsourcing, procurement, and C-suite decision makers such as the COO
  • Host prospect visits to Confie BPO's delivery centers in Mexico to showcase facilities, talent, and operational quality
  • Achieve or exceed assigned new-revenue quota and activity targets
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast data in HubSpot; forecast reliably and report progress to the SVP, Business Development
  • Hand off closed deals to Operations and Client Services with a complete transition of scope, commitments, and client expectations, staying engaged as needed through launch
  • Develop deep knowledge of Confie BPO's service offerings, nearshore delivery advantages, and competitive landscape, and clearly articulate the value proposition against onshore, offshore, and other nearshore providers
  • Stay current on P&C and Health insurance industry trends, regulatory considerations, and buyer priorities to identify where outsourcing creates value
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations to structure profitable agreements that comply with company policies
  • Share market and prospect insights with leadership and marketing to sharpen positioning, pricing, and target account lists

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B new-business sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quota; demonstrated results will be weighed more heavily than years of experience
  • Track record of self-sourcing and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals of $500K or more
  • True hunter mentality: comfortable with cold outreach and building pipeline from scratch, without relying on inbound leads or inherited accounts
  • Established professional network and active LinkedIn presence, ideally among insurance, financial services, or other regulated-industry decision makers
  • Experience selling to operations leaders and C-suite executives
  • Strong presentation, proposal-writing, and negotiation skills
  • Self-directed, organized, and effective working remotely
  • Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and sales prospecting tools

Ability to travel 25–35%

Preferred Skills

  • Experience selling BPO, contact center, outsourcing, claims, or similar
  • Existing relationships with P&C carriers, MGAs, agencies, health plans, or TPAs
  • Familiarity with insurance operations such as policy servicing, billing, FNOL, claims, customer service and back-office support
  • Experience selling nearshore or offshore delivery solutions
  • Training in a strategic selling methodology (e.g., Miller Heiman, Target Account Selling, Challenger, MEDDIC)
  • Experience with RFPs, procurement teams, and outsourcing advisors
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

English/Spanish bilingual fluency a positive but not a requirement
