Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Loan Processing & File Management:
  • Prepare and process residential mortgage loan files.
  • Work with Loan Officers to determine product suitability and communicate any changes that may impact the loan.
  • Compile financial and supporting documentation needed to complete loan files.
  • Order supporting documentation, including appraisals, verifications of employment, verifications of deposits, and other required items.
  • Evaluate loan applications for completeness and reasonableness and escalate files for further review when necessary.
  • Record and maintain accurate loan status information, including new applications, approved loans, canceled loans, and denied loans.
• Documentation & Underwriting Support
  • Communicate with borrowers and Loan Officers to obtain missing documentation.
  • Review loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to Underwriting.
  • Obtain documentation necessary to satisfy underwriting conditions, as required.
  • Submit approved loan files to Closing for final processing.
  • Prepare and send approval and denial letters. Direct clients to a Loan Officer or other licensed employee for loan-specific questions or guidance.
• Communication & Customer Service
  • Communicate with branch and corporate employees in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third-party vendors throughout the loan process.
  • Prioritize workflow to ensure loans close on time and meet established deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, Loan Officers, vendors, and other interested parties.

Required Experience:

• 1+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data.
• Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships with internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated experience researching information, problem solving and making solid business decisions.
• Demonstrated experience producing accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure.

• 1+ years experience in the mortgage industry.
• Demonstrated experience using Encompass360.
• Demonstrated experience working with potential clients/borrowers in a sales environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a customer oriented position.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Solid knowledge and understanding of current business acumen.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending processes, procedures and regulations.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of Encompass.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA and secondary marketing guidelines to manage complex loan level issues.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage-related terms, such as escrow, taxes, closing documents and insurance.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of processing and closing functions and a general understanding of the entire real estate lending process.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of desktop underwriting programs.

Minimum Education Preferred:

• High School or GED

Physical Environment:

• This position is primarily an in office position. Normal office environment.

Travel:
Local travel may be required for company or career-related meetings, programs and/or events.
