POSITION OVERVIEW

The Brand Associate supports the day-to-day management of assigned licensors and brands, working across internal teams and external partners to deliver best-in-class service. This role manages product approvals, brand requirements, systems, timelines, and communication throughout the product development process. The Brand Associate partners closely with the Brand Manager, Design, Sales, Production, and Operations to help keep projects organized, approvals moving, and products on track for on-time delivery to retailers.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and recommend solutions or process improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external partnerships and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to quickly learn new systems and digital tools.
  • Experience using AI tools or an interest in learning how AI can support research, communication, organization, and workflow efficiency preferred.
  • Retail, licensing, product development, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Approval Management

  • Review merchandise samples and concept designs to ensure brand requirements are met prior to submission and process within 1-2 business days.
  • Maintain detailed records across multiple systems, including the Bioworld PLM system and licensor/client systems.
  • Maintain and develop licensor-specific SOPs, brand guidelines, and approval requirements to support consistent processes across teams.

Process Management

  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Sales, Design, and Operations to ensure products receive required approvals and ship to retailers on time.
  • Support all stages of the product development and approval process to ensure company and licensor requirements are met.
  • Execute new licensor/client setup and onboarding processes, ensuring internal teams understand requirements, systems, and approval procedures.
  • Identify workflow challenges and partner with the Brand Manager to develop more efficient processes and solutions.
  • Utilize approved AI and digital tools where appropriate to improve organization, research, reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.

Internal Support

  • Prepare for weekly retailer On Order meetings and follow up on action items to support on-time product delivery and Sales team needs.
  • Partner with Design on brand guidelines, creative timelines, project requests, artwork assets, and packaging requirements.
  • Partner with Production to ensure packaging, copyright/legal lines, product quality, approvals, and deadlines meet licensor requirements.
  • Create training materials, placement reports, presentations, business updates, and other internal resources as needed.
  • Provide timely support to internal teams and respond to requests within a 24-hour timeframe.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.

BUSINESS HOURS

Hybrid schedule: Monday-Friday, with four days onsite and one remote day per week.
