Brand Manager

PHILIPS SOUND & ACCESSORIES / EUROPE

Amsterdam, Netherlands, Hybrid working, European scope, Initial 12-month contract

Great ideas are welcome. People who can make them happen are even better.

Philips is a brand almost everyone knows. But in the world of sound and accessories, being recognised isn't enough. We want people to discover our products, get excited about them and choose Philips Sound & Accessories.

And we're looking for someone who can help us make that happen.

Not necessarily a marketing guru with ten years of experience and a perfect strategy for everything. We're looking for someone curious, creative, practical and not afraid to challenge the usual way of doing things.

Maybe you're already a Brand Manager. Or perhaps you're a Marketing Specialist ready to take the next step. What matters most to us is how you think, how you work and what you can bring to the team.

This role is a mix of creativity, commercial thinking and hands-on marketing. Some days you'll be working on exciting campaigns or product launches. Other days you'll be dealing with budgets, spreadsheets, deadlines and the little things that keep everything moving. Both sides matter.

What will you actually do?

Make Philips Sound & Accessories stand out.

Keep an eye on consumers, competitors and what's happening in audio and consumer accessories. Understand why people choose certain brands and find ways to make Philips Sound & Accessories more relevant, appealing and distinctive.

Bring fresh ideas to the table.

We don't expect you to reinvent marketing. But we do expect you to think, ask questions and suggest better ways of doing things. Whether it's a campaign, a creative partnership, a product story or a small improvement that makes a real difference.

Turn products into stories people care about.

Work with our Product and Commercial teams to bring new products to market. Find the right message, understand the audience and help create campaigns that go beyond technical specifications.

Make things happen.

Coordinate marketing activities and product launches across European markets. Work with creative agencies, manage marketing materials, follow up with colleagues and make sure projects move from ideas to actual results.

Keep the everyday marketing work running.

Keep projects on track, coordinate budgets and purchase orders, prepare reports and presentations, and take care of the practical details that make marketing happen. You'll take ownership of specific projects and activities, with support and oversight from the wider team as needed. We're not going to pretend the less glamorous work doesn't exist. It does, and it's important.

Know what works and what doesn’t.

Look at campaign results, consumer feedback, market trends and sales performance. Understand where we're doing well, where we're losing opportunities and how we could use our marketing budget more effectively.

Connect the dots.

You'll work closely with Product Management, Sales, Trade Marketing, MarCom and local teams across Europe. Sometimes you'll need to convince people. Sometimes you'll need to compromise. And sometimes you'll simply need to pick up the phone and solve a problem.

What kind of person are we looking for?

We're less interested in how many marketing buzzwords you know and more interested in how you think. You'll probably recognise yourself here:

You have hands-on experience in marketing, brand management or a similar role. You might be a Marketing Specialist, Marketing Executive or Junior Brand Manager looking for your next challenge.

You're naturally curious. You notice what people buy, what they talk about and why some brands get attention while others don't.

You have ideas of your own and aren't afraid to share them, even when they challenge the usual approach.

You can make decisions, take responsibility and move things forward without waiting for detailed instructions.

You're creative but also organised. You can come up with a great idea and still remember the deadline, the budget and the follow-up.

You're comfortable with numbers, Excel, presentations and campaign performance data.

You have a commercial mindset. You understand that marketing should ultimately help the business grow.

You enjoy working with different people and know how to get things done without making everything unnecessarily complicated.

You're confident communicating in English in an international environment.

You don't take yourself too seriously, but you take your work seriously.

Experience in consumer electronics, audio, accessories, FMCG, lifestyle or other consumer-focused industries would be great. But we’re open to different backgrounds if you bring relevant experience, fresh thinking and the right attitude.

What can you expect from us?

You'll be working with Philips Sound & Accessories, a recognised international brand, across a diverse product portfolio and European markets.

You'll join a team with different strengths and experiences, where you can bring your own perspective, take ownership of projects and grow your responsibilities over time.

You'll get exposure to different areas of marketing, from consumer insights and brand positioning to product launches, campaigns and commercial performance.

We're a hands-on team. There will be exciting projects, routine tasks, unexpected challenges and probably a few last-minute changes.

Not every idea will work. Not every decision will be easy. But we appreciate people who take initiative, learn quickly and aren't afraid to try something different.

Sounds like you?

If you're someone who enjoys figuring things out, has ideas worth sharing and would rather make something happen than spend weeks talking about it, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to know everything. But you should be willing to figure things out.
