Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced and creative individual to join our team as our Reputation & Communications Manager. This role is responsible for strengthening USANA’s reputation, monitoring sentiment, and helping us communicate clearly and consistently with the audiences that matter most.

In this role, you will help shape how USANA is perceived—protecting and strengthening our reputation across review platforms, earned media, and the broader public conversation. You will write the press releases and corporate announcements that carry our voice publicly, seek out and activate the third-party credibility opportunities that build trust in our brand, and lend your writing to the corporate, executive, and crisis communications that keep our message consistent everywhere it appears. Our ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and doer, and above all, a self-starter. This is a role for someone who spots a gap, takes initiative, and consistently brings thoughtful solutions, and who follows through without waiting to be asked.

What You Will Do as USANA’s Reputation & Communications Manager

Reputation Management

  • Own USANA’s strategy and day-to-day management of our owned and third-party review and credibility platforms, including responding to reviews
  • Monitor brand sentiment across media outlets, forums, social channels, and review platforms, and deliver regular reports with clear insights and recommended actions
  • Spot reputation risks early and recommend responses before issues escalate
  • Research emerging platforms, industry trends, and competitive activity, and regularly bring new ideas to leadership

Public Relations & Communications

  • Manage inbound media inquiries and build relationships with journalists and publications that support our reputation goals
  • Develop messaging with leadership to support proactive and reactive PR needs
  • Identify and pitch executive thought leadership opportunities, including podcasts, bylined articles, TEDx and industry conference stages, to position USANA leaders as voices in the health, wellness, and business communities
  • Support crisis communications strategy and execution alongside the executive director
  • Provide writing, coordination, and project support for special projects

Background and Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Five plus years of experience in communications, public relations, or brand reputation, ideally including corporate or internal communications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven record of writing corporate, executive, or internal communications and a strong command of brand voice
  • A hands-on background managing review platforms (Trustpilot, Google Business, BBB, or similar) and brand monitoring tools, with a solid understanding of digital PR, social listening, and online reputation strategy
  • A track record of supporting executive visibility, such as speaker placement, media pitching, or thought leadership content
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines under pressure, with the initiative to follow through without being chased
  • Genuinely good with people: you build trust quickly with executives, colleagues, and external contacts, and you’re comfortable as a public-facing voice for the company

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Familiarity with influencer and affiliate reputation ecosystems
  • A track record of launching or improving a brand’s presence on third-party review and credibility platforms
  • Experience managing award submissions with measurable results, such as wins or finalist recognition
  • Experience briefing and managing agency, freelance, or specialist support to extend your own capacity
  • Comfort presenting reputation insights and strategic recommendations directly to senior leadership

This is a hybrid role with regular weekly in-office time in Salt Lake City.
