The BU Manager Rheumatology Baltics will lead the strategic, commercial, and financial direction of the Rheumatology business across the Baltic countries. This role is accountable for defining and driving the brand strategy, delivering sustainable business growth, strengthening cross-country and cross-functional execution, and leading the commercial organization to maximize performance and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and keeping the patient at the center of all decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive Rheumatology business strategy across the Baltic countries, ensuring alignment with AbbVie’s strategic priorities and long-term objectives.
- Build and lead strong cross-functional Brand Team, In-Field Team, and relevant internal stakeholders to ensure integrated planning and execution. Acting as Brand Team Leader, lead the Team around a shared vision, ensuring effective contribution to brand planning, foster collaboration, and take accountability for Brand Team activities, processes and performance.
- Own the end-to-end brand strategy and tactical execution, translating priorities into a clear, actionable commercial plan that delivers growth, margin, and market impact.
- Account for Rheumatology performance, including Financial Plan, Update, and Long-Range Plan with responsibility for resource allocation, investment discipline, and P&L delivery.
- Set the strategic direction for current and future products and identify new business opportunities to strengthen long-term commercial results.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales and Marketing Team to build capability, improve performance, and sustain a high-engagement, high-accountability culture by driving innovation through digital and AI tools.
- Establish clear performance expectations through target setting, incentive design, KPI management, and field effectiveness measures.
- Ensure timely, high-quality market intelligence and data are translated into strategic decisions, and business priorities are clearly communicated and executed in the field.
- Develop talent, strengthen succession pipeline, and proactively build a high-performing commercial organization for the future.
- Partner effectively with Area and Global functions to shape local execution and ensure alignment with broader strategic and organizational priorities.
- Operate with strong business judgment, strategic discipline, and full compliance with AbbVie standards, policies, applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven leadership experience in sales and marketing within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong track record of defining strategy and translating it into measurable, executable business plans.
- Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and developing teams, including talent development and performance management.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare environment, market dynamics, and evolving commercial landscape.
- Strong knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing and sales principles.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and influence across functions and levels.
- Solid understanding of finance principles and commercial planning processes.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving innovation and delivering exceptional business results.
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development and a growth mindset, with the ability to build capabilities in response to evolving business needs, as well as a readiness and genuine interest in mobility opportunities across AbbVie affiliates and geographies to further broaden expertise and impact.
- Local language proficiency is required, along with English proficiency in both spoken and written communication.
