Senior Event Manager

At Verian Lithuania, we help build a world where policies work.

Our team is part of Verian Group, an international research, evidence, evaluation and communications agency working with governments, public institutions and organizations across Europe and beyond.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Event Manager to join our team and lead the organization of international events, expert meetings and stakeholder sessions across major European public policy projects.

About the role

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of complex events and making sure every detail comes together.

You will initially play a key role in a major multi-year European public policy project, coordinating international experts and stakeholders and delivering virtual, hybrid and in-person meetings and events across Europe.

The role covers the full event lifecycle, from early planning and scheduling through participant coordination, travel and venue logistics, to on-site delivery and follow-up.

Alongside the main project, you may also support workshops, stakeholder consultations and events across other Verian public policy projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and coordinate international meetings, workshops, expert sessions and larger-scale events.
  • Manage event schedules, invitations, participant lists and communications.
  • Coordinate venues, accommodation, travel, catering and other event logistics.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external experts, speakers, participants and project teams.
  • Coordinate participant travel and reimbursement processes and ensure the necessary documentation is in place.
  • Organize and facilitate virtual and hybrid meetings using platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Support interactive sessions, including online voting and other digital engagement tools where required.
  • Coordinate suppliers and external service providers.
  • Support on-site event delivery and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Keep event documentation, timelines and logistics organized and up to date.
  • Work closely with project managers, researchers and colleagues across Verian.
  • Support events and stakeholder activities across other projects when capacity allows.

What we're looking for

  • We are looking for someone who is highly organized, dependable and comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts in an international environment.
  • Ideally, you will bring 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, project coordination or a similar role. We are also open to candidates with 3+ years of particularly strong and relevant experience.
  • You should have proven experience organizing international in-person, virtual and hybrid events, including managing venues, travel, accommodation and participant coordination.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent attention to detail, and confidence communicating with senior external stakeholders, experts and international partners are important for the role.
  • You will also need excellent written and spoken English, the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines independently, a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms, and availability to travel internationally when required.
  • Experience working with European institutions, public sector organizations, research organizations or international projects would be an advantage.

What we offer

  • A senior role with ownership of high-profile international events and stakeholder activities, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful European and international public policy projects.
  • You will collaborate with experienced researchers, project managers, policy experts and international partners across a multicultural Verian Group environment.
  • Working arrangements depend on your location. Candidates based in Lithuania work on a hybrid basis from our Vilnius office at
Gedimino pr. 50. For candidates based elsewhere in Europe, remote collaboration may be possible through a service agreement.
  • For candidates employed in Lithuania, the gross monthly salary range is
€2,600–€3,600, depending on experience and qualifications. For candidates collaborating through a service agreement, the fee and contractual terms will be agreed separately.
