How you will contribute

• Participate in assessing the feasibility of business requirements for changes to the information systems managed by the team, defining functional and technical solutions and ensuring the delivery of specifications aligned with business needs;
• Analyze and define technical solutions for payment processing applications, covering SEPA, Instant Payments, international payments and related payment services.
• Supervise technical activities within BCR projects related to the development and enhancement of applications supporting domestic, SEPA, instant and international payment services;
• Coordinate and monitor the technical activities and deliverables of external suppliers, ensuring alignment with the technical development strategy, internal procedures, methodologies, and agreed project plans;
• Prepare the technical documentation and deliverables required for deploying changes to business parameters and system configurations into the production environment;
• Provide functional analysis and technical support to operational teams, directly or through external suppliers, in identifying and resolving software defects during both implementation and production stages;
• Define and coordinate testing activities for new or modified functionalities, including test plans, scripts, scenarios, test environments, and test data requirements, ensuring functional testing and UAT readiness;
• Ensure proper technical documentation of the information systems under the team's responsibility, identify potential risks, and collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement integrated solutions across multiple applications;
• Perform any other tasks related to the role, as assigned by the direct manager, in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution activities with internal teams and external vendors.

What will help you be successful

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation, Computer Science, or another IT-related field, complemented by relevant IT training and professional development courses;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 1 year in a financial or banking institution and 1 year in application design and development;
• Knowledge of banking information systems, applications, products, and services, with an understanding of banking business processes;
• Experience in analyzing payment messages, transaction lifecycles and banking integration flows is considered a strong advantage.
• Understanding of functional and technical analysis, software development processes, application lifecycle management, testing methodologies, and technical documentation;
• Advanced level of English, with strong written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills;
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and the ability to identify risks and propose effective solutions;
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to change, manage ambiguity and stress, work under pressure, collaborate effectively with different teams and external suppliers, and independently manage responsibilities and competing priorities.
