What a Builder is
A Builder is someone in a functional role, a salesperson, a designer, a recruiter, a compliance analyst, whose main job is managing agents. They know the function first. They use that knowledge to decide what the agents should do, set them up, watch how they perform, and keep refining the process and tailoring the bots so the work actually fits how the company runs. The agents do the repeatable parts. The Builder brings the expertise that makes them useful.
Most businesses already have the AI tools. What they don't have is time, and someone who knows the work well enough to set the tools up and keep them running. That's the gap a Builder fills, sitting inside the client's team. The client keeps the judgment, the decisions and the sign-off. The Builder keeps the AI working, and keeps it current as new models ship.
Outsentia has placed trained, office-based analysts with US firms for years. Builders are the next version of that: the same people, the same office, with a new skill on top. We're training them ourselves because nobody else is, and we're building the role from scratch. As far as we can tell, no staffing company has done this before.
About the role
The Builder Program Manager is the first hire on the Builder track, and the role is as much product as it is training. You'll define what a Builder has to be able to do, build the path that gets a good analyst there, teach it, review what people build, and keep the record that proves the model works. The first Builders report to you day to day. This is a people development job at its core: most of your week is spent training people, giving feedback, and watching them get better. What you build in the first six months becomes the standard for every Builder we place after that.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver AI training for technical and non-technical people, as practical builds rather than lessons: use a model well, build an agent, connect it to a tool, break a workflow into steps, decide where the AI stops, and apply what you know about the function to make the agent fit the work.
- Review every trainee build, give feedback, and decide when someone moves to the next one.
- Work directly with people on client teams to find the workflows worth automating and get the first agents running.
- Keep the record: the baseline before anything changes, then what got built, what broke and hours saved, so the case study is built on facts.
- Run assessments and issue badges when a Builder passes a level.
- Manage the first Builders day to day. Be their first call when something breaks at a client.
- Keep training current. When a new model or tool ships, add the module that covers it.
- Work with the founders on the hiring plan: which functions get Builders next and how many.
Your first 90 days
- Month one: create and give trainings on AI for technical and non-technical people, then start working with individuals on client teams.
- Month two: continue the training and deploy the first agents with our client teams
- Month three: successfully upskill a group of people on a client team and on our internal team, write the case study, and refine the training for the Q1 launch, when we hire more Builders for you to upskill.
What we're looking for
- You've developed people. You've trained, coached or managed a team and can point to people who got better because of you. This is the core skill.
- You've built agents and automations yourself with current tools and can show them working. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to have done it.
- You know the difference between a lesson and an exercise that teaches, and you can teach both a developer and a recruiter.
- You can sit with a client's team, understand how they actually work, and explain it back plainly.
- You keep records without being asked and write clearly.
- You're comfortable building the plane while flying it. Most of this role doesn't exist yet.
Nice to have
- Experience in recruiting, GTM or compliance operations, the functions where the first Builders will work.
- Experience running a training program or an LMS.
- Time spent inside a staffing or services business.
