Join DELTA ImmoTec México and contribute your expertise in electrical, mechanical, or special systems design to high‑impact industrial and commercial projects—both in Mexico and internationally.

As a Building Automation & Controls Engineer, you will support the engineering, design, and coordination of Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), controls, instrumentation, and related low-voltage systems across all project phases.

You will work closely with customers, mechanical and electrical engineers, equipment suppliers, contractors, and project teams to develop practical and reliable solutions for complex industrial facilities.

This position focuses on building automation and facility infrastructure projects rather than manufacturing process automation.

Your Responsibilities

Building Automation & Controls Engineering

  • Develop BMS/BAS concepts, system architectures, and control philosophies.
  • Define monitoring and control requirements for HVAC, utilities, energy systems, and other technical building infrastructure.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including control diagrams, I/O lists, technical specifications, and system descriptions.
  • Coordinate the integration of mechanical, electrical, and special systems into the overall building automation architecture.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.

Special Systems & Low-Voltage Infrastructure

  • Support the engineering and coordination of CCTV, access control, communication, and network systems.
  • Define system interfaces and communication requirements.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with customers, suppliers, contractors, and system integrators.
  • Support the development of practical and reliable system concepts.

Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout all project phases.
  • Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops.
  • Review technical documentation, vendor submissions, and engineering deliverables.
  • Track technical interfaces, open points, and project actions.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and engineering standards.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Share lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help improve engineering processes, documentation, and project execution.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Building Automation, Controls Engineering, Instrumentation, Low-Voltage Systems, or similar technical fields.
  • Understanding of BMS/BAS systems, control concepts, and communication protocols such as BACnet or Modbus.
  • Experience with HVAC systems, utilities, electrical infrastructure, or technical building systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or data center projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM environments, or similar engineering tools is beneficial.
  • Native Spanish and preferably professional working proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.

What We’re Looking For

  • Communicates confidently with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Is curious, eager to learn, and motivated to grow professionally.
  • Wants to contribute to the successful realization of complex industrial construction projects.

What We Offer

  • An exciting engineering role with a high level of ownership and responsibility.
  • Challenging industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • Direct collaboration with experienced engineering, project management, and construction professionals.
  • Exposure to international customers, suppliers, and projects.

  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate:

  • Develops clear, practical, and technically sound engineering solutions.
  • Coordinates interfaces effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Produces reliable and high-quality engineering documentation.
  • Identifies technical risks proactively and supports their resolution.
  • Contributes to successful project execution, commissioning, and handover.
  • Continuously develops expertise and contributes to process improvement.
  • Even if you don't meet every preferred qualification, we encourage you to apply.
