The Role

The Commercial Strategy organization is seeking an early-career Business Analyst to support priority play design and Lumen’s go-to-market framework. In this role, you will turn field feedback and performance data into actionable insights that strengthen sales enablement and help drive revenue growth. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and business leaders while contributing to annual strategy review and planning processes.
The Main Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting or assisting in the documentation of simple to moderate business analysis projects under direct supervision. Works with other team members and subject matter experts to resolve certain questions that are received.
- Measure the effectiveness of commercial plays across market segments and sales channels.
- Analyze seller and partner feedback to identify opportunities to refine go-to-market plays.
- Collect, interpret, and synthesize data from multiple sources into clear business insights.
- Integrate findings into ongoing analysis and annual strategy-setting processes.
- Partner with Sales to help increase the adoption of commercial plays across market segments.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product to develop use cases, outcomes, and supporting materials.
- Prepare presentations and communicate recommendations to cross-functional partners and leaders.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Minimum
- Must have completed an internship within Data Analytics at Lumen Technologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and field feedback.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and across business functions.
- Comfort presenting insights and proposed solutions to different levels of leadership.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a growth mindset.
- Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Customer-first approach to evaluating business challenges and opportunities.
Preferred
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience developing presentations, business recommendations, or data-driven insights.
- Exposure to go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, marketing, product, finance, or commercial planning.
- Educational background in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex business problems.
- Willingness to ask thoughtful questions and challenge existing approaches constructively.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$55,313 - $73,750 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$58,078 - $77,438 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$60,844 - $81,125 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
