About The Company
Everyone’s story matters. Come shape yours with Riverty, an international financial technology company combining empathy, advanced technology, and data-driven insights to help people and businesses stay in flow. Our teams work across 11 countries, bringing together more than 4,000 colleagues representing nearly 80 nationalities. We are part of the family-owned Bertelsmann Group and operate in a fast-moving industry, helping well-known brands simplify financial management and offer flexible payment solutions. Our work supports customers as they manage payments and build financial confidence.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d) to join our Product team in Berlin. Hybrid working conditions are available. In this role, you will help shape and deliver our Consumer Risk Platform, a core capability supporting real-time credit decisioning, fraud prevention, and customer risk assessment across our buy now, pay later (BNPL) and checkout products.
You will work closely with Product, Risk, Data Science, Compliance, and Engineering colleagues. Your focus will be translating complex business, risk, and regulatory needs into clear requirements and scalable platform solutions. From early discovery through implementation and evaluation, you will help ensure that decisions are practical, well understood, and aligned with customer needs and technical architecture.
Qualifications
You bring a degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, or a comparable discipline, along with at least five years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role. Experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services is important, as is strong knowledge of risk, fraud, underwriting, or payment-processing systems.
You have a track record of leading complex initiatives and influencing stakeholders across different disciplines. You can translate business needs into scalable system designs, including APIs, workflows, and data models, and are comfortable working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban. Your analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills allow you to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. You take ownership, work autonomously, and communicate fluently in English. German is an advantage.
Experience with BNPL, consumer finance, or credit risk decisioning is beneficial. Familiarity with fraud detection and rule-based or machine-learning decision engines is also welcome. Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python, Databricks, or Power BI would be an additional advantage.
Responsibilities
Join an international community where colleagues can exchange ideas, learn from one another, and contribute to how work is shaped. Riverty’s hybrid workspaces support collaboration while offering flexible working conditions for this Berlin-based position. You will work on meaningful financial technology products in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with experts across Product, Risk, Data Science, Compliance, and Engineering. As part of the Bertelsmann Group, Riverty combines an established organization with the opportunity to contribute to a changing FinTech sector.
Equal Opportunity
Riverty values the perspectives and experiences that colleagues from different backgrounds bring to our international community. We welcome applications from qualified candidates and are committed to a fair and respectful recruitment process. Employment decisions are based on role-related qualifications, skills, and experience. We encourage applicants to share their capabilities and interest in shaping financial technology with us.
