Role Purpose The Business Analyst is a key member of the Business Change function, responsible for delivering Business Analysis across strategic initiatives and transformation programmes at Pinergy. Working alongside the Business Change Manager, the role acts as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring business needs are understood, analysed and translated into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value. Combining Business Analysis, process improvement, business readiness and governance disciplines, the Business Analyst supports the successful delivery and adoption of organisational change while contributing to the continual development of the Business Change capability, methodologies and standards. As a trusted advisor to stakeholders, the Business Analyst provides structured analysis, objective recommendations and practical solutions that support informed decision making and continuous organisational improvement. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Analysis & Solution Design Lead Business Analysis activities across strategic initiatives and transformation programmes, ensuring business requirements are understood, analysed and translated into practical business solutions. Elicit, analyse, validate and document business, functional and non-functional requirements using recognised Business Analysis techniques and best practice. Produce and maintain Business Analysis deliverables including Business Cases, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Maps, Solution Assessments and supporting documentation. Maintain requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle while supporting solution design, vendor evaluations, solution validation and implementation across enterprise applications. Analyse business performance, operational data and emerging trends to identify opportunities for improvement, support business cases and provide recommendations that enable informed decision making. 2. Process Improvement & Business Change Working alongside the Business Change Manager, the Business Analyst will: Lead As-Is and To-Be process analysis to support business improvement, standardisation and future operating model design. Support Business Readiness planning, Change Impact Assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training and business adoption activities across transformation initiatives. Support organisational design, business capability assessments and transformation roadmaps through structured Business Analysis. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business validation, implementation readiness, deployment planning, cutover activities and post-go-live support. Support benefits realisation, post-implementation reviews and the successful transition of initiatives into Business-as-Usual. Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve customer outcomes and enhance organisational capability. 3. Governance, Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Support the Business Change Manager in maintaining Business Change governance frameworks, methodologies, standards and delivery practices. Contribute to Change Advisory Board (CAB) governance, documentation standards, knowledge management and the continual improvement of the Business Change capability. Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, partnering with business leaders and subject matter experts to understand strategic priorities and identify opportunities for improvement. Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder engagement activities that support collaborative problem solving, requirements definition and informed decision making. Provide structured analysis, business insight, reports, presentations and recommendations that support operational, strategic and executive decision making. Promote Business Analysis best practice through mentoring, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. 4. Delivery Excellence Support project mobilisation, planning and implementation across strategic initiatives. Identify and manage business risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle. Coordinate business testing, release readiness and deployment activities while supporting successful transition into Business-as-Usual. Contribute to successful project delivery through effective governance, collaboration, benefits tracking and continuous improvement. Experience & Qualifications Essential Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Business Analysis, Business Change or Business Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, business process improvement, Business Readiness and future operating model design. Strong analytical, facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills with experience engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels. Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery methodologies. Experience working with enterprise business applications including CRM, ERP and digital platforms. Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams and supporting the delivery of projects through the full project lifecycle. Desirable Experience within the Energy or Utilities sector. Experience supporting enterprise-wide system implementations. Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Business Central, Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Visio. Professional certifications such as BCS Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PRINCE2 or Change Management.
