Business Analyst Finance & Odoo (Freelance or Consultant)

Drive a major Finance & Billing transformation in Odoo!

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Finance and Odoo expertise to support a business-critical transformation project.

You'll act as the link between Finance, Operations and IT, ensuring that billing, accounting and reconciliation processes are correctly translated into Odoo and supporting systems. Your work will have a direct impact on invoicing accuracy, financial reporting and operational efficiency.

This is an assignment for someone who enjoys understanding complex financial flows, challenging business requirements and converting them into clear functional solutions.

What you'll do

• Analyse and document end-to-end finance and billing processes.
• Translate business requirements into Odoo configurations and functional specifications.
• Work closely with Finance teams on accounting treatments, VAT, reconciliations and reporting requirements.
• Define business rules for invoicing, subscriptions, pricing structures and transaction processing.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Prepare functional analyses, process documentation and data mappings.
• Support and coordinate testing activities, including UAT and finance validation.
• Ensure data consistency and auditability across operational and financial systems.
• Identify process improvements and challenge existing ways of working.

Who we're looking for

• Around 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or ERP Consultant.
• Proven experience with Odoo.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience writing functional analyses and translating business needs into actionable requirements.
• Fluent English, French and/or Dutch.
• Experience in billing-intensive environments.
• Previous involvement in ERP implementations or transformation projects.
• You understand both the accounting impact of a transaction and the system configuration required to support it
