Our Financial Institutions Team is currently seeking a (Jr) Business Analyst to support us and our clients by providing expertise and unique market insights regarding financial institutions-related topics through conducting research, market analysis, and developing cutting-edge analytical tools and market intelligence.

What You'll Do

As a (Jr) Business Analyst in our Financial Institutions Team, you’ll carry out original research and analysis and develop analytical tools that drive strategic decisions.

This position is primarily office-based, ensuring close collaboration and dynamic interaction with our team and clients. We also offer a hybrid work option, allowing for flexibility and balance between office and remote work as per our policies and project needs.

• Building and maintaining BCG’s proprietary databases and data models for retail and corporate banking, and expanding our internal GenAI tools.
• Running benchmarking surveys and quantitative and qualitative analyses on retail and corporate banking topics.
• Supporting project teams with tailored analysis and market insights for live client work.
• Scoping the knowledge needs of consulting teams and working with colleagues to address them.
• Tracking banking and fintech innovations and turning them into insights for the project teams.
• Working with consultants to identify best practices and key success factors.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree (or final-year student, preferably in Banking, Economics, Finance & Accounting) with strong academic achievements and interest in finance.

• Proficiency in Excel (modeling and other analytical tools such as Alteryx, VBA, Tableau would be an advantage but are not mandatory).

• Proven analytical skills and market research experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of seniority.

• Organization and prioritization skills, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluent in Polish and English.

Additional Assets

• Experience in assessing the financial and operational performance, i.e., knowledge of financial reporting or KPIs; solid understanding of financial/banking concepts and terminology.

• Knowledge of banking markets in CEE, i.e., products, trends, and drivers across key segments.

• 1 year of business-oriented experience in the Financial Institutions sector (including internships, also from consulting/research roles) is preferred but not mandatory.
