Business Engineer – Digital Pension Solutions

About the Role

Wavestone is seeking a Business Engineer to support the development of digital pension and investment solutions in Zurich, Switzerland. You will analyse and specify customer-focused requirements, develop technical solution approaches, and translate requirements into features and user stories.

The role contributes to the ongoing development of a digital pension portfolio, particularly across Pillar 3a, vested benefits, and securities investments. You will work closely with requestors, Product Management, business teams, and UX/UI specialists throughout the feature lifecycle, from requirements workshops through implementation, acceptance, quality assurance, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and specify end-customer-focused requirements for digital pension solutions.
• Develop technical solution approaches, features, and user stories.
• Contribute to the further development of the digital pension portfolio, including Pillar 3a, vested benefits, and securities investments.
• Facilitate workshops with requestors, Product Management, and business teams.
• Create GUI prototypes in collaboration with UX/UI specialists.
• Support feature implementation and acceptance activities.
• Perform quality assurance and functional testing.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Business Engineering experience within financial services or insurance.
• Experience with digital investment platforms, pension solutions, or advisory solutions.
• Strong methodological knowledge of BPMN, GUI prototyping, and story maps.
• Experience working in Agile organisations.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Open-minded personality with the ability to quickly understand new topics.
• Fluent German language skills suitable for negotiations.
• Very good English skills at B2 level.
