Company Overview
At VersiTech, we go beyond the traditional boundaries of a tech company to provide payment and point-of-sale technologies that help businesses increase their profitability, run efficiently, and grow with confidence. We are innovators at heart, problem-solvers in action, and growth partners in spirit. In every solution we create and every service we offer, our ethos is clear: technology should be advanced, accessible, and easy to use. We have a passion for delivering technology-focused products and services that are built on speed, affordability, and reliability so that every business we serve enjoys a consistent experience with a trusted ally. Our two product lines, BOLD Integrated Payments and Tonic POS Software can be deployed together for a unified end-to-end experience or used independently for maximum flexibility.

Listening first, building lasting relationships, and delivering measurable outcomes for our partners and merchants are central to how we operate as an organization.

Who We Are
We operate under a rapidly growing and widely accepted business philosophy called “EOS” (Entrepreneurial Operating System). In learning to utilize EOS, you will have the ability to drive growth and be an empowered decision maker, something that you can’t get in large, slow-moving organizations.
As we grow, we are intentional about protecting our small-company spirit: staying agile, taking ownership, and maintaining strong relationships. We strive to live our values every day and in every way. We believe culture is built through the habits we practice: Value + Habit = Culture, and we are looking for others who feel the same way:
  • We are ALL IN: We are committing wholeheartedly to a clear vision. Mission first and team always by: following through, owning outcomes, and finishing what we start for the success of ALL involved: our employees, our partners, our vendors, our communities, and our customers.
  • We DARE TO BE DIFFERENT: We embrace our entrepreneurial DNA and small-company spirit as we scale, taking responsibility as first movers, simplifying the complex, and maintaining a culture of fun and approachability while prioritizing our partners and team members first.
  • We are HUMAN: We are grounded in accountability and genuineness, we build strong relationships by listening to understand, communicating clearly, speaking truth with care, and respecting different perspectives with grace as we grow.

How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to own the internal portfolio across departments at Versitech. This role is ideal for someone who can govern demand rather than absorb it — running intake across multiple departments, holding prioritization to evidence, and making the case for what gets built and what does not.

As Senior Business Analyst, the hardest part of the job is not writing requirements. It is declining them, to department heads who outrank the function. That refusal needs to be defensible, consistent, and grounded in what a process actually costs. You will also carry the measurement that makes the whole function fundable: every automation delivered with an hours-saved figure attached, which is a return stated in the same units as the cost.

You will report to the Senior Vice President of Technology, Edie Woelfle.

How We Work
Business Analysis serves internal departments. Product owners serve external customers; the analyst serves the people inside the company. The operative rule is the requester — if it is a customer, it belongs to a product owner; if it is a department, it belongs here.
This role is hybrid, based in Atlanta, with regular days on site. Both halves of the job benefit from presence: understanding how a department actually works, and keeping a relationship intact after declining what they asked for.

Two boundary cases come up and are decided in advance rather than in the moment. Where the internal function builds something a product team wants — shared data, reporting that product uses — it stays with the internal function, with the product owner as a stakeholder rather than an owner. Where a product needs internal process change to support it, the product owner owns the outcome and the analyst is pulled in for the process work. Ownership follows who is accountable for the result, not who does the analysis.

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?
Portfolio & Intake Governance
  • Own intake across all internal departments, not a single one
  • Run the quarterly forum where department heads rank requests against each other rather than negotiating individually
  • Hold prioritization to evidence, and say no in a way that survives escalation
  • Prevent the queue growing faster than it drains
Analysis at Depth
  • Take on the processes that cross departmental boundaries, where nobody owns the whole thing
  • Distinguish problems worth automating from problems worth eliminating
  • Identify where a departmental request is a symptom of a decision made elsewhere
  • Bring recommendations that name the trade-offs rather than only the upside
Benefits, Funding & Measurement
  • Own the measurement discipline: baselines captured before work, results reported after
  • Maintain the annual view of what is being maintained and what it costs, so nothing runs unexamined
  • Supply the evidence behind funding conversations, including what each department avoids by having the work done
  • Distinguish maintenance from enhancement in writing, since that line is where funding models fail
Standards & Practice
  • Attend every scrum ceremony run by the pod you work with (daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospective), on time and prepared, and tell the facilitator in advance if you can't make one
  • Define how analysis is done here: what a current-state document contains, what a requirement must include
  • Mentor junior and mid-level analysts
  • Document systems and processes as they are delivered, not afterward
  • Ensure no delivered system depends on one person's memory
Financial Systems Awareness
  • Understand the control and audit implications of changes touching payment and finance data
  • Flag where access, retention, or separation questions need Platform involvement
  • Treat month-end and close deadlines as production commitments
You know you are successful when:
  • Department heads bring problems to the forum rather than lobbying individually
  • The queue is prioritized on evidence and the ranking holds
  • A meaningful share of engagements end without software being built
  • Every delivered system has a baseline, a result, and a known running cost
  • Declining a request is a normal event rather than an escalation
Top Candidates will demonstrate the following:
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or internal consulting
  • Proven ability to govern demand across multiple stakeholders, not only to serve it
  • Track record of recommending against builds and making that recommendation stick
  • Experience quantifying process cost and benefit credibly enough to support funding decisions
  • Strong stakeholder skills with senior, non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience analyzing processes that cross departmental boundaries
  • Excellent written communication, particularly for recommendations that will be challenged
  • Ability to mentor and set standards for other analysts
  • Based in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate, and able to work on site on a regular schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep experience with finance processes, including close, reconciliation, and commission or residual calculation
  • Strong data skills, including direct querying and reporting against a warehouse
  • Experience establishing an intake or demand governance process from scratch
  • Familiarity with internal chargeback, showback, or cost-transfer funding models
  • Exposure to audit and controls requirements on financial systems
  • Experience with internal tooling, workflow automation, or BI platforms
The salary for this role is $90,000. The hours of operation for this role will fall within 8 am – 5 pm EST.
This is a hybrid role with light travel expectations.
