Business Analyst (Insurance Domain) -Senior

Role – Senior Business Analyst (Insurance Domain) Location – Remote or Jersey City, NJ Key Responsibilities Analyze existing (mostly Excel+SQL ) actuarial reports /measures and instruct developers on how to replace these reports within our Segment Data Warehouse. This may include: Clarification on key calculations and analysis of the underlying data; In some circumstances, development of requirements documentation and acceptance criteria. Perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing to validate that new reports/measures meet requirements. This may include: Validation that the data the report produces matches the expected results; Assistance with troubleshooting issues through data analysis. Coordinate and own User Testing and Signoff. Responsible for coordination of acceptance testing through signoff. Qualifications The analyst should have prior knowledge and experience with, preferably reinsurance, actuarial/reserving reporting processes and would be able to quickly understand firm’s calculations, data and processes. Education Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, phones, and photocopiers. Physical Demands This position requires the frequent and repetitive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Hand and finger dexterity is required.
