Verisure is one of the world’s fastest-growing large-scale consumer subscription businesses, growing faster than household names such as Vodafone, Proximus and Orange. We are now #1 in Belgium, #1 in Europe and #1 in the world in monitored security services.
To support our continued growth and digital transformation, we are looking for a Business Application Specialist to join our Competence Center team in Brussels.
This role sits at the intersection of business and IT. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, transforming business needs into concrete solutions while ensuring applications and processes evolve in line with our ambitions.
You see the bigger picture. When one department asks for an improvement, you look at what it means for the other departments and for the Group. You know what is possible and what isn't, you keep expectations realistic, and you still look for a way to make the impossible possible.
If you enjoy understanding how organizations work, challenging assumptions, coordinating projects and bringing people together to deliver meaningful improvements, this role could be the perfect fit.
What you will do
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring ideas and improvement requests are translated into clear requirements.
- Analyze business needs and assess the impact of changes across departments, processes and Group initiatives.
- Manage application enhancements from initial request through delivery and go-live. You stay the single point of contact between business and IT, also once a request is with IT.
- Coordinate functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
- Support go-live activities through documentation, training and stakeholder communication.
- Keep an eye on recurring application issues flagged by our superusers, and make sure the structural ones are turned into improvements.
- Drive your own projects from business idea to implementation.
- Maintain oversight of ongoing initiatives and enhancements across key business applications such as Oracle Field Service, Genesys and MyPages.
- Collaborate closely with application owners, business experts and Group stakeholders to align local and international priorities.
- Represent Belgium in Group projects by identifying gaps, sharing local requirements and contributing to future solution designs.
- Work together with colleagues across Europe to share ideas and best practices, and join their initiatives or bring them into ours. Why build it twice? It keeps our budget for the projects that really matter.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in business applications, functional analysis or a similar role between business and IT.
- Experience coordinating projects and driving initiatives from idea to implementation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand both business processes and technical constraints.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive mindset with a strong problem-solving attitude.
- Attention to detail: you test thoroughly and don't sign off until it really works.
- Experience with Aha!, Jira or similar tools is considered a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
- A strong communicator who adapts the message to the audience, from the field to IT and the Group.
What we're not looking for
- Someone who forwards requests to IT without asking what they really mean.
- A pure project manager. Project experience helps, but this role is about understanding the business, not only managing a plan.
What can you expect from us?
- A competitive salary complemented by attractive fringe benefits such as meal vouchers, eco vouchers, hospitalization insurance and group insurance.
- Sector-specific bonuses.
- 6 additional ADV leave days.
- A dynamic international environment within a fast-growing market leader.
- The opportunity to work on business-critical applications used across the organization.
- A role where your ideas, expertise and initiatives have a direct impact on the business.
- Continuous learning opportunities and exposure to large-scale transformation projects.
