We are strengthening the security and resilience capability within our Orbital Launch & Rocket Test business area, and are looking for a Business Area Security Officer who combines a solid understanding of security with a strong interest in how business is created, contracted and delivered.
You will be the link between the business area and SSC Space Group Security & Resilience function, helping us understand and meet customer, contractual and regulatory security requirements, particularly in business involving defense organizations and other security-sensitive customers. Your contribution will ensure that security is integrated early, proportionately and effectively, while supporting our commercial and operational objectives.
The position reports to the Head of Contract and Product Management and works closely with business area management, sales, contract management, project teams, operations and relevant Group Functions.

You will be the link between the business area and SSC Space Group Security & Resilience function, helping us understand and meet customer, contractual and regulatory security requirements, particularly in business involving defense organizations and other security-sensitive customers. Your contribution will ensure that security is integrated early, proportionately and effectively, while supporting our commercial and operational objectives.
The position reports to the Head of Contract and Product Management and works closely with business area management, sales, contract management, project teams, operations and relevant Group Functions.
You have a relevant academic background in security, risk management, resilience, law, engineering, political science or a related field, ideally combined with several years of professional experience in security, protective security, business continuity, risk management, compliance, defense or another regulated environment.
You have a solid foundation, sound judgment and the ambition to broaden your experience into a business-facing role where security enables responsible growth and reliable delivery.

- Experience interpreting requirements and turning them into clear, proportionate and implementable actions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce well-structured decision material with explicit recommendations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
- Five years work experience from defense, government, critical infrastructure, the space sector or another security-sensitive industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of business continuity management, business impact analysis, crisis management, audits, contracting or bid support is an advantage.
- The ability and willingness to complete security vetting and meet any eligibility requirements associated with the position.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations and frameworks such as ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, CER or protective security requirements is an advantage.

- Coordinate the implementation of SSC Space, customer, contractual, legal, regulatory and local security requirements within the business area, ensuring that requirements are translated into clear actions, ownership, priorities and follow-up.
- Support the business with security requirements in bids, customer dialogues, contract reviews, negotiations, supplier arrangements and customer deliveries.
- Prepare for, participate in and follow up internal and external security audits, assessments and customer reviews, ensuring that findings are translated into practical improvement actions.
- Coordinate protective security work within the business area, including practical support, alignment with relevant functions and follow-up of agreed protective security measures.
- Conduct and maintain the annual business area security plan, follow up progress, KPIs and improvement actions, and report status, risks and deviations to Group Security & Resilience.
- Lead and implement the business continuity management system within the business area, including impact analyses, continuity plans, exercises, tests, recovery priorities and structured improvement follow-up.
- Maintain an overview of critical services, information assets, suppliers, competencies and interdependencies to support risk-based security, resilience and continuity decisions.
- Support Group Security & Resilience with incident management within the business area’s area of responsibility, including coordination, decision support, escalation and follow-up.
- Support LSOs with business area security knowledge, guidance and expertise to help ensure consistent, practical and effective implementation of security requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable SSC Space and local security requirements, including requirements from contracts and laws, and report security deviations to Group Security & Resilience.
- Be responsible for the security budget within the business area, contributing to planning, prioritisation and follow-up of security-related costs and activities.
- Participate in Security & Resilience Board meetings and related work, representing the business area and contributing to shared priorities, decisions and follow-up.
