Our Mission
Learnlight is an EdTech company that believes in putting people first. We take every opportunity to do that with enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment. We find joy and deep satisfaction in delighting our clients, empowering our learners, and helping our team to excel in everything they do.
Our mission is to help organizations develop human skills to understand, empathize, and connect effectively with others in the global workplace. We exist to close the gap between strategy and execution by building communication skills that make companies collaborate more effectively: language, cultural intelligence and interpersonal fluency. We do this through a combination of best-in-class trainers and a leading, AI-powered platform. Combined with a long-term, sustainable approach, we aim to safeguard our people, the communities we serve, and our planet.
Exploring Future Opportunities at Learnlight
At Learnlight, we are continually assessing our future capabilities and how we can best support our evolving business needs.
As part of this process, we are exploring the possibility of building an in-house capability specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. While our future operating model and team structure are still under consideration, we are interested in connecting with experienced Business Central professionals whose technical expertise could align with our potential future needs.
We are therefore inviting expressions of interest from professionals with strong hands-on development experience in Business Central, particularly those who enjoy designing robust technical solutions, building integrations and improving the reliability and scalability of business systems.
Please note that this is not an active vacancy, and no formal recruitment process or hiring timeline has been confirmed. We are still evaluating our future operating model, technical requirements and potential team structure. Any opportunities that may arise will depend on the outcome of this assessment and subsequent business decisions.
The Potential Opportunity
Should we decide to establish this capability in-house, the focus would be on strengthening our technical ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, supporting business growth and ensuring our systems remain scalable, reliable and fit for the future.
We would be particularly interested in connecting with professionals who could contribute to:
- Designing, developing and maintaining AL code, extensions and customisations, following Microsoft best practices and upgrade-safe development patterns.
- Translating functional requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions, working closely with Finance, Operations and functional specialists.
- Building and maintaining integrations with CRM, payroll, banking and other third-party systems using APIs, web services and middleware.
- Supporting technical workstreams for acquisitions, including migration scripts, data validation and the onboarding of new entities and systems.
- Managing Business Central environments, sandboxes, deployment pipelines, version updates and extension publishing to support stable releases.
- Developing workflow automations and system enhancements, ensuring appropriate testing and documentation, and helping resolve complex technical issues.
What You Could Bring
We would welcome expressions of interest from professionals with relevant technical expertise and a strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly:
- Strong hands-on experience developing in AL, building and maintaining extensions, and understanding Business Central architecture, events, triggers and upgrade-safe development patterns.
- Proven experience designing and implementing integrations using APIs, web services or middleware, with the ability to translate functional requirements into clear technical designs and maintainable solutions.
- Experience with data migration, multi-entity environments, acquisition-related technical work, environment management and deployment or release pipelines.
- Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage complex technical challenges and take ownership of solutions from design through delivery.
- Experience with Business Central permissions, security and administration, alongside structured testing, regression testing, technical documentation and effective collaboration with Finance, Operations and functional teams.
Experience with the following would also be beneficial:
- Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps or other cloud integration technologies.
- SQL, particularly for legacy Dynamics NAV environments or external data integrations.
- DevOps practices and Business Central deployment pipelines, including Git and CI/CD.
- AI capabilities within Business Central.
We would also value professionals who are proactive, self-sufficient and comfortable navigating ambiguity; who can challenge requirements constructively and guide stakeholders towards practical, maintainable solutions; and who remain calm under pressure during releases, integrations and acquisition onboarding.
