Exploring Future Opportunities at Learnlight

At Learnlight, we are continually assessing our future capabilities and how we can best support our evolving business needs.

As part of this process, we are exploring the possibility of building an in-house capability specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. While our future operating model and team structure are still under consideration, we are interested in connecting with experienced professionals whose functional expertise could align with our potential future needs.

We are particularly interested in professionals with strong Business Central Functional knowledge, a solid understanding of finance processes, and the ability to optimize business processes, support system adoption and help maintain consistency across multiple entities.

We are still evaluating our future operating model, functional requirements and potential team structure. Any opportunities that may arise will depend on the outcome of this assessment and subsequent business decisions.

The Potential Opportunity

Should we decide to establish this capability in-house, the focus would be on strengthening our functional ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, supporting finance and operational processes, and ensuring the system continues to meet the needs of a growing, multi-entity organisation.

We would be particularly interested in connecting with professionals who could contribute to:

• Supporting day-to-day finance processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, purchase orders, banking, fixed assets and month-end activities, while troubleshooting issues and maintaining data quality.
• Advising Finance and Operations on Business Central best practices, mapping and documenting workflows, and identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate processes.
• Supporting acquisition-related Business Central workstreams, including data migration, chart of accounts alignment, dimension mapping and the setup of new entities, while coordinating functional requirements for third-party integrations.
• Maintaining master data, posting setups, dimensions, financial structures and purchasing approval workflows, ensuring appropriate routing, delegated authority and internal controls.
• Gathering reporting requirements, preparing functional specifications, supporting Power BI and Business Central reporting, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and contributing to stable releases.
• Guiding end users, providing training and documentation, managing incoming requests and promoting consistent use of Business Central across the organisation.

What You Could Bring

We would welcome expressions of interest from professionals with relevant functional expertise and a strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly:

• Strong functional and configuration knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, combined with a solid understanding of finance processes and accounting principles, including AP, AR, GL, purchasing, banking, fixed assets and month-end activities.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or acquisition-heavy environments, including data migration, chart of accounts alignment, dimension mapping, entity setup and, ideally, multi-tenant environments.
• Hands-on experience with master data governance, dimensions, posting setups, financial structures, approval workflows, permissions and system administration.
• Experience translating business requirements into effective system solutions, improving and standardizing workflows, and supporting integrations with CRM, payroll, banking and other third-party systems, including coordination of API or middleware changes.
• Ability to produce clear functional specifications, test scripts and process documentation, coordinate UAT and release sign-off, and communicate effectively with Finance, Operations, end users and technical colleagues.

Experience with Power BI, reporting development and AI capabilities within Business Central would also be beneficial.
