Job Description
Do you want to help people across a global organization trust the data they work with? As our Business Data Lead in Axis Global Supply Chain, you'll make sure data is high quality across a range of cross-functional data entities. This is a unique opportunity to shape how data quality is managed across a global supply chain organization. The position is based in Lund, Sweden.
What you'll do here as Business Data Lead?
As a Business Data Lead within Axis Global Supply Chain, you will be responsible for ensuring high data quality across a range of cross functional data entities.
You drive data quality governance across Global Supply Chain to clarify data ownership, establish common definitions and standards, and improve the quality and transparency of data across selected entities.
You will define how data quality is measured and monitored cross functionally within Global Supply Chain, and lead efforts to address data quality issues and their root causes. You will ensure that data requirements are understood and reflected in business processes and systems. Your work will help data consumers understand and trust the data they use, and ensure that it is complete, consistent, timely, and valid.
The Axis Operations data strategy supports Axis’ business strategy and ambitious growth targets. It focuses on improving data quality and ownership, and on automating data flows.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how data quality is managed across a global supply chain organization.
While data quality will be your primary focus, you will also lead various Supply Chain related initiatives, contributing to automated Supply Chain processes within Global Supply Chain.
Who is your future team?
You will join Global Supply Chain Development, a team within the Global Supply Chain organization that drives cross-functional business development.
The team consists of seven specialists in project management, end-to-end process management, analytics, ERP, continuous improvement, metrics management, and internal communication. Together, we help strengthen Global Supply Chain’s ability to deliver on its mission and long-term strategy, while contributing to Axis’ global efficiency and success.
Today we are around 150 people working within Global Supply Chain. Based in Lund, we interact with other Operations departments and a worldwide network of customers, distributors, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and our configuration and logistics centers.
Your main responsibilities within Global Supply Chain include:
- Establish and drive data quality governance across Global Supply Chain, aligning functions on data ownership, governance roles, responsibilities, standards and processes.
- Define and document cross-functional data definitions and standards for assigned data entities and attributes.
- Define data quality measurement approaches, maintain relevant KPIs, and monitor performance for assigned data entities and attributes.
- Create transparency across the Global Supply Chain data landscape, including data flows, master systems, and the relationships between them.
- Coordinate stakeholders across functions to embed data quality governance into business processes and ways of working.
- Identify systemic root causes behind recurring data quality issues and lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
- Promote a data-driven culture across Global Supply Chain and act as an ambassador for our data transformation journey.
- Promote and support the application of data governance requirements in day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with the Operations Data Lead and IT teams to implement data standards, validations, and controls.
Who are we looking for?
- You select and adapt relevant frameworks to bring structure to complex situations.
- You combine analytical thinking with the ability to influence decisions and bring people together around shared goals.
- You are curious, positive, self-driven, and structured, and you can plan and manage your own work to deliver high-quality outcomes.
We expect you to have:
- A relevant university degree, at least at BSc level, in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in a similar role in Supply Chain.
- Experience working with ERP systems. Experience with IFS and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered a merit.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
