Role Description The Business Development Associate is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting growth initiatives across Caprae’s portfolio and platforms. In this role, the associate conducts market research to identify target sectors, potential partners, and investment opportunities, and contributes to the development of outreach strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating qualified leads, managing prospect lists, coordinating follow-ups, and updating CRM or pipeline tracking tools. The associate prepares presentations and materials for internal and external meetings, helps organize investor and partner communications, and collaborates with founders and operators on business development projects. This position involves cross-functional work with investment, operations, and marketing teams to support expansion efforts and build strong, long-term relationships in Caprae’s ecosystem.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for engaging prospects and internal stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess lead generation and market research skills to identify, qualify, and prioritize business development opportunities.
  • Candidates should possess presentation and presentations skills to create and deliver compelling materials for partners, investors, and internal leadership.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis to manage pipelines and track performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in business development, sales, private equity, venture capital, or B2B technology environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Interest in lower middle market investing, technology-enabled businesses, and founder-led companies, with a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset.
