Via is partnering with an established healthcare staffing business looking for an experienced Business Development Consultant to grow its temporary nursing staffing business across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
This is a hands-on new business sales role focused on identifying healthcare organisations with temporary and interim staffing requirements, building relationships with decision-makers and converting opportunities into new clients.
You'll own the sales process from initial prospecting and cold outreach through to meetings, proposals and commercial conversations, while working closely with recruitment teams to ensure new client requirements can be successfully delivered.
Previous healthcare recruitment experience would be valuable, but isn't essential. We're also interested in strong B2B business development professionals who have sold recruitment, staffing or other people-based and time-based services.
What you'll be doing
- Identify healthcare organisations with temporary and interim staffing requirements
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals and proactive outreach
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Engage decision-makers within healthcare organisations
- Understand clients' workforce challenges and staffing requirements
- Present temporary nursing and healthcare staffing solutions
- Lead sales conversations from initial contact through to new-client conversion
- Build strong, long-term relationships with healthcare clients
- Identify opportunities to grow and develop new accounts
- Work towards individual sales and revenue targets
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline information
- Track sales activity, conversion and performance
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and potential growth opportunities
- Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure client staffing requirements can be fulfilled
- Provide regular pipeline and performance updates to management
What we're looking for
- Proven B2B business development or new-business sales experience
- Strong experience generating your own opportunities through outbound prospecting
- Confidence with cold calling and proactive lead generation
- A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospecting through to close
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience using CRM and sales tools
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote role
- Proactive, resilient and results-driven approach
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
Experience within healthcare recruitment, healthcare staffing or temporary recruitment would be particularly valuable.
Candidates from other recruitment sectors or businesses selling people-based, outsourced or time-based services are also encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate strong new-business performance.
A bachelor's degree is preferred but isn't essential where you have relevant commercial experience.
Why apply?
- €50,000–€60,000 base salary
- Additional EUR/GBP commission and incentives
- Fully remote working
- Significant ownership of new business development
- Opportunity to grow the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland markets
- High level of autonomy
- Work directly with healthcare decision-makers
- Established recruitment and delivery support
- Career progression and professional development opportunities
