About Us

We make the business of games work for the people who make them.

rcp is an independent production house from Munich, around since 2005. Part dealmaker, part production house, part backer. We sit on the business side of the table for a family of 15 partner studios across Europe, South America and South Asia, so they can spend their time making games. When our studios win, we win.

What that looks like day to day:

  • We sell our studios’ games and teams to publishers and platforms
  • We structure deals, funding and investment
  • We broker co-development, porting and work-for-hire
  • We build serious games for finance, health and defense

More than 300 games and interactive projects so far, from Songs of Silence and Bus Simulator to Angry Birds Epic and Ostwind.

Where we’re going

We’re building something the games industry doesn’t have yet: a 'United Artists' for game makers. Studios that own their work, share the upside and back each other.

rcp has a strong reputation and a weak brand. For you, that’s room: you get to put your own stamp on it.

How we work

  • Roles, not positions. Inspired by holacracy. One person often holds several roles, and roles change as the work changes
  • Strikeforces. Small cross-functional teams around a partner studio or a mission, with clear accountability for each role
  • Radical candor. We care personally and challenge directly. You get honest feedback, and we expect you to give it, including to the CEO
  • AI-second, human-first. Coordination and admin go to AI, so people spend their time on judgment, relationships and deals

Your role:

Remote (Europe or North America, on European hours) or Munich · Full-time · Exclusive freelance start possible, then permanent

The short version

We need a dealmaker who opens doors at the top table and brings the close home. You take over the relationships our CEO built over 20 years, and you build your own. No team to manage. A direct line to the CEO.

Why this role exists

Our CEO built rcp’s top relationships over 20 years. We want someone to take them over, grow them, and become the face of rcp at the top table.

You open doors at Director and VP level. You bring opportunities that hold up. You bring the close home without giving terms away early. A door-opener with soft leads doesn’t help us. A door-opener who closes does.

This is a director-level role as an individual contributor. You don’t manage a team. You work directly with our CEO, our Biz team and the studio heads across the rcp family.

Role Overview

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Open doors at the right level: Director and VP+ at large publishers and platforms, CEO level at smaller publishers, plus project financiers, games investors and fast-growing self-publishing developers
  • Pitch and sell projects from the rcp family: original IP, co-development and work-for-hire
  • Hold terms to the close. When a deal doesn’t fit, rethink it instead of forcing it
  • Own our presence at D.I.C.E., GDC and Gamescom: the plan, the meetings, the follow-ups
  • Take over and grow our relationships with first-party platforms, major publishers and tool providers
  • Be the senior sparring partner for our Biz team: review deal rationales, mentor, keep commitments visible
  • Bring what you hear in the market back into the group

Who we’re looking for:

Requirements:

Your profile:

  • A seat in the circles where games deals happen: D.I.C.E., GamesBeat, or their equivalents in LA and Asia. Established, or clearly on your way in
  • Relationships at Director or VP level and above, across more than one segment: publishers, platforms, investors or tool providers
  • At least one deal in the last three years that you originated or led to the close
  • A confident presence in front of C-level. Quick and sharp
  • Drive. You set your own goals and get things done through people, without direct reports
  • Readiness to travel a lot, and the energy to enjoy it
  • A real feel for entertainment. You play games
  • Business-fluent English. German is a bonus

The ideal candidate also has:

Nice to have:

  • Experience with funding, licensing or joint ventures
  • You’ve sat on both sides of the table, developer and publisher
  • You’ve worked in an owner-led company
  • You already use AI for research, prep and follow-ups

Who this is not for

  • You want to build and lead a team from day one
  • You need a big brand behind you to get a meeting
  • You’d rather have a clear job description than build something

What we offer:

  • Real influence: a direct line to the CEO and a voice in group strategy
  • Where it can go: stay the face of rcp, lead one of our partner studios, or help make our own games
  • Fixed salary, no commission. You’re paid to build the right deals, not to push the most deals through
  • A family of game makers across three continents
  • Remote within Europe or North America on European hours, or our office in the heart of Munich, with relocation support if you want it. We’ll find the right contract setup for your country
  • Health coaching with OLAO HEALTH. In Munich: Deutschlandticket, a games library and team events
