ABOUT THE JOB

We're looking for a hungry relationship-builder with a clinical research pedigree to deepen relationships with ANZ/APAC based biopharma sponsors and CROs. This is a rare opportunity for an individual contributor role to operate with real autonomy, at a company that's changing how research teams manage their recruitment risks.

JOB OVERVIEW

  • Location: Singapore (Remote)
  • Role Type: Full-time Individual Contributor (IC) - No direct reports; focused on high-level customer acquisition and hands-on deal closure.
  • Compensation: AU$115,000 – $150,000 base salary + up to 100% performance bonus.
  • Experience Level: Senior Manager (3+ years in business development)
  • This is a lead position with a potential to be promoted to business development director.

ABOUT TRIALSCREEN

TrialScreen helps de-risk clinical trial recruitment by connecting research teams with potential participants as they explore their clinical trial options.

TrialScreen operates a global network of plain-language clinical trial finders, used by hundreds of thousands of people and their treating healthcare teams each month. Our tools let people explore their options and check their potential eligibility before deciding whether to share their details.

TrialScreen gives study teams real-time insight into consumer demand by geography and indication, allowing them to assess feasibility, benchmark interest against similar studies and generate high-quality leads when needed. When demand or recruitment barriers differ from expectations, teams can identify and address the problem early - before valuable time is lost.

TrialScreen is a small, distributed team with staff in the US, Australia, UK and Hungary, and partners in Japan and China. We're lead by some of the most successful business builders in the clinical trials industry, and are proud winners of the 2026 SCOPE Site Innovation Award and the 2026 DIA Whale Tank for innovation in clinical technology: validation that what we're building is making a real difference. We move fast, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to own and grow TrialScreen’s commercial footprint in the ANZ, and support our regional APAC targets. The successful candidate will bring their existing relationships, their deep understanding of the clinical trial operations landscape, and their drive to network in order to create something meaningful.

This is not a role for someone who needs a playbook handed to them. You’ll be contributing to the ANZ + APAC commercial strategy alongside our regional leadership team, opening doors through the relationships you’ve built in the industry, and converting those relationships into partnerships that genuinely improve how patients access clinical trials.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build and own the ANZ commercial pipeline, with a primary focus on pharma, biotech and CROs
  • Leverage your existing network to open doors to decision makers
  • Identify and close new business opportunities for TrialScreen’s REFER solution and ancillary services
  • Develop and execute a sales plan, including target account prioritisation, outreach cadence, and pipeline management
  • Represent TrialScreen at industry events, conferences, and through your personal network
  • Work closely with TrialScreen regional leadership and delivery team to ensure a seamless handoff from sale to execution
  • Provide market intelligence that shapes how we evolve our product and commercial positioning
  • Be a genuine ambassador for TrialScreen’s mission: connecting patients to studies at scale. Patient access to clinical trials is not a small problem, and this role is part of solving it

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 3+ years of experience in the life sciences industry, with a proven track record of commercial success
  • A hunter mentality with the relationship intelligence to know when to open a door and when to let a partnership develop
  • An established, active network across pharma/biotech sponsors and CROs, this is not a role where you build a network from scratch
  • Deep familiarity with clinical trial operations, patient recruitment challenges, and the key stakeholders in that ecosystem (VP Clinical Ops, Head of Patient Recruitment, study team leads, Procurement, and CRO BD teams)
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where not everything is defined, and genuine excitement about the ability to shape the future
  • Strong communication and listening skills, you’re as good at understanding a client’s real problem as you are at presenting a solution
  • A team player who collaborates with leadership and the operations staff around them, shares openly and doesn’t protect their mission at the expense of others
  • Experience with tech-enabled services or digital platforms is a plus, though domain expertise and network is of primary importance

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

At 6 months:

  • A long list of F2F meetings with contacts at key clients
  • A developing pipeline with pharma and biotech sponsors and CROs
  • Vendor qualification has started with priority target customers
  • New clients are using TrialScreen’s services and seeing lead delivery in action
  • Strategic partnerships at senior levels are being actively cultivated

At 12 months:

  • New logos and new study teams within existing logos across the ANZ market
  • VP-level and above relationships solidified as long-term commercial partnerships
  • A TrialScreen presence in the ANZ market that is recognised, trusted, and growing

WHY WORK AT TRIALSCREEN

  • A mission that matters, every lead we generate is a real person who could access a treatment that changes their life
  • A senior leadership team with deep industry roots and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing for the patients, sites, and sponsors/CROs
  • A dynamic, creative, and fun team that takes the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously
  • A fully remote role with the autonomy to build something you’re proud of
  • Competitive compensation package

To express your interest, please send a cover letter detailing why you're a good fit for the role, along with your CV.

  • TrialScreen is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged, this posting will close once we find the right candidate.
