The Opportunity
Our client is a growing service provider operating within the UK property sector. The business works with mortgage brokers, estate agencies and other property professionals to help improve the customer journey, create additional revenue opportunities and reduce operational pressure.
They are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify, engage and secure new business partners.
This is a dedicated new-business role. The successful candidate will generate their own opportunities, build and manage a strong sales pipeline, and take prospective partners through the full sales process—from initial contact and discovery through to commercial agreement and activation.
Once a new partner has been successfully onboarded and handed over to the relevant account management team, the Business Development Manager will return their focus to new-business acquisition and growth.
Key Responsibilities

- Conduct discovery calls, demonstrations, presentations and commercial discussions.
- Understand prospective partners’ needs and present tailored, solution-focused proposals.
- Clearly communicate the commercial and operational value of the company’s services.
- Develop strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reports and sales forecasts.
- Represent the business professionally at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover and onboarding experience for new partners.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a results-focused salesperson who can quickly establish credibility with property professionals and consistently create new-business opportunities.
They are likely to demonstrate:
- A proven track record in new-business sales and achieving or exceeding targets.
- Experience within mortgage broking, estate agency, conveyancing or the wider property sector.
- Strong prospecting and outbound business-development skills.
- A consultative and solution-led approach to sales.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and over the telephone.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability.
- The confidence to engage with business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
- Excellent organisation, pipeline management and CRM discipline.
- Resilience, self-motivation and a proactive approach.
- The ability to work independently within a hybrid or remote environment.

Success within the role will include:
- Consistently generating qualified new-business opportunities.
- Maintaining a healthy and well-managed sales pipeline.
- Securing new mortgage broker and estate agency partnerships.

- Generating sustainable referral and instruction activity from newly acquired partners.
- Building a strong reputation and presence within the property sector.
- Ensuring new partners are handed over effectively to the onboarding and account management teams.

- A competitive basic salary.
- An uncapped commission structure.
- Support from an experienced leadership and operational team.
- Flexibility through a hybrid or remote working arrangement.
- The opportunity to make a visible and direct contribution to the company’s growth.
