Capital Equipment Sales Specialist
North of England | Home-Based
Are you a consultative healthcare sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and managing complex sales cycles?
We are partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organisation looking to expand its Capital Equipment Sales team. This is an opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation within the NHS and play a key role in driving the adoption of innovative infection prevention technologies across hospitals and healthcare settings.
The Role
Covering the North of England (with occasional activity in Scotland), you will be responsible for developing and growing a territory focused on the sale of capital equipment and infection prevention solutions into NHS and private healthcare customers.
You'll manage the full sales process, from prospecting and lead generation through to product demonstrations, commercial negotiations, implementation, and ongoing customer support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across NHS and healthcare accounts
- Building relationships with a range of stakeholders, from infection prevention teams and nursing staff through to senior clinical leaders and procurement teams
- Conducting product demonstrations, evaluations, and on-site trials
- Developing tailored commercial proposals and business cases
- Managing procurement and tender processes
- Delivering customer training and supporting successful product adoption
- Growing and developing your territory through a consultative, value-driven sales approach
What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- 3+ years of commercial experience in healthcare, medical devices, capital equipment, diagnostics, life sciences, or related sectors
- Experience selling into NHS or healthcare environments
- A proactive approach to new business development and territory growth
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage long and complex sales cycles
- A consultative selling style focused on customer outcomes rather than aggressive sales tactics
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory
Ideal Backgrounds
Experience in any of the following would be particularly attractive:
- Capital Equipment Sales
- Medical Devices
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Microbiology
- Diagnostics
- Healthcare Marketing with strong commercial exposure
- Clinical or healthcare-related commercial roles
Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a strategic, relationship-driven sales environment and wants to make a genuine impact on infection prevention practices across the NHS. You'll be joining a business that values long-term customer partnerships, professional development, and ethical selling, while offering the autonomy to build and grow your territory.
