Company Description Canto Gen / 港嘢 is a leading AI platform focused exclusively on Cantonese Text-to-Speech (TTS) synthesis, delivering hyper-realistic, native-sounding speech. The platform captures everyday Cantonese rhythms, colloquial expressions, breath patterns, and natural inflections that traditional engines fail to reproduce. Built on 8,000 hours of authentic human dialogue and advanced noise filtering, it produces production-ready audio directly from text. Enterprise clients benefit from seamless API integration, enabling fast, secure, and cost-effective deployment of Cantonese voice solutions across their products and services.
Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kowloon, with flexibility for partial work-from-home. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, particularly among media, gaming, education, and enterprise technology clients that can benefit from Cantonese TTS solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and demos, preparing proposals and commercial terms, and driving deals from initial contact through to closing. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align client needs with platform capabilities, shape go-to-market strategies, and support key account growth. The role also involves market research, participation in industry events, and ongoing relationship management to expand Canto Gen’s footprint in Hong Kong and international Cantonese-speaking markets.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in Hong Kong or regional markets, and familiarity with media, content creation, or localization industries is beneficial.
