Business Development Manager, APAC – Kuala Lumpur (3 Positions)
Company Description
DuNoMo is a B2B payments business operating across Asia Pacific as a Business Payment Solution Provider (BPSP) and Merchant of Record on Visa and Mastercard commercial card rails. We let corporate treasurers pay suppliers, statutory obligations and superannuation using a card facility they already hold, while the beneficiary is paid directly into their bank account. Our platform covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, embedded finance via APIs and a mobile app, with end-to-end reconciliation and payment automation built in, and it integrates with the ERP and accounting systems clients already run. We partner with card schemes, commercial card-issuing banks and financial institutions to improve working capital, control and cash flow visibility for businesses ranging from SMEs to large corporates. DuNoMo is live in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, with further APAC markets planned.
Role Description
We're hiring three Business Development Managers, APAC. These are full-time, hybrid roles based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this role, you'll help businesses across Asia Pacific move their spend from traditional funding onto commercial cards, unlocking up to 55 days of interest-free terms from our partner bank while their suppliers are paid directly into their bank accounts. In Malaysia, you'll meet clients face to face. Across Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and our new markets, you'll build relationships and progress deals by phone, email and video. You'll work with Financial Controllers, Finance Managers and accounts payable teams, showing them the value in their own numbers and guiding them through to signing and going live. This is a great opportunity for driven, high-energy sellers who want to build a career in B2B payments with a fast-growing regional business. The role reports to the Senior BDM, Instituional & Large Corporates.
Key Responsibilities

- Face-to-face selling in Malaysia: Meet prospects and clients in person in KL and across Malaysia to build relationships and progress deals.
- Qualification and discovery: Qualify opportunities on spend profile, card facility, supplier mix and decision-maker, and gather the payables data needed to build a business case.
- Business case and proposals: Show clients the working capital value of moving spend onto card, using their own numbers, and prepare clear proposals.
- Deal progression: Move deals from first contact to signing and first transaction, working with operations, compliance and onboarding teams.
- CRM and forecast discipline: Log all activity, keep pipeline stages and close dates accurate, and report weekly on activity and pipeline.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years in B2B sales, inside sales or business development, ideally in payments, fintech, banking or finance-facing SaaS, with a track record against targets.
- Commercial: Comfortable with high-volume outbound activity and running deals from cold outreach to signing. Exposure to commercial cards, working capital or treasury products is a plus.
- Analytical: Confident with numbers and Excel, and able to explain a simple working capital business case to a finance audience.
- Communication: Excellent spoken and written English. Bahasa Melayu is preferred, and Mandarin is a plus. Willing to work early hours to cover Australian and New Zealand time zones.
- Personal: Resilient, self-motivated and coachable. Equally comfortable on the phone, in a meeting room and with an AP team, with strong CRM habits and a hunger to learn.
