Company Description
DuNoMo is a B2B payments business operating across Asia Pacific as a Business Payment Solution Provider (BPSP) and Merchant of Record on Visa and Mastercard commercial card rails. We let corporate treasurers pay suppliers, statutory obligations and superannuation using a card facility they already hold, while the beneficiary is paid directly into their bank account. Our platform covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, embedded finance via APIs and a mobile app, with end-to-end reconciliation and payment automation built in, and it integrates with the ERP and accounting systems clients already run. We partner with card schemes, commercial card-issuing banks and financial institutions to improve working capital, control and cash flow visibility for businesses ranging from SMEs to large corporates. DuNoMo is live in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, with further APAC markets planned.
Role Description
The Business Development Manager, AU & NZ is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this role, you'll help Australian and New Zealand businesses move their business spend from traditional funding onto commercial cards. That shift unlocks the value of up to 55 days of interest-free terms provided by our partner bank, while suppliers continue to be paid directly into their bank accounts. You'll identify the businesses where this makes a meaningful difference, show them the value in their own numbers, and guide them through to signing and going live. You'll work closely with CFOs, Treasurers and Financial Controllers, and partner with accounts payable teams as they adopt a new way of paying. You'll have a defined territory, a target list, modern tools and a strong base of reference clients behind you. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys consultative selling and wants to grow with a scaling payments business. The role reports to the Head of Business Development, AU & NZ.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline generation: Build your own pipeline through structured outbound, CRM and prospecting tools, partner and scheme referrals, and presence at industry and finance forums.
- Qualification and discovery: Qualify early on spend profile, card facility, supplier mix and decision authority. Get to the payables data, the funding arrangements and the internal decision dynamics.
- Business case: Model eligible spend, days of cash retained, rebate earned, fees and net position in a form a CFO can take straight to an executive committee.
- Deal management: Own deals from first meeting to first transaction, including pricing within framework, procurement, legal, security review and internal approvals.
- Onboarding and first value: Hand over cleanly to operations and treasury, get the first payment run live, and confirm the promised outcome lands.
- Forecast and CRM discipline: Keep an accurate pipeline with real close dates and honest stages. Your forecast is a commitment the business plans against.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–8 years in B2B sales with a consistent record against quota, ideally in payments, fintech, banking or finance-facing SaaS. Experience selling to mid-market and enterprise finance functions is a plus.
- Commercial: Comfortable running a full cycle from cold outreach to contract, including procurement and legal review. Exposure to commercial card, working capital, supply chain finance or treasury products is a plus.
- Analytical: Confident building a credible business case in Excel and defending its assumptions. Experience working directly with client payables or spend data is a plus.
- Discipline: Strong CRM hygiene and forecast honesty, planning a territory rather than working an inbox. Familiarity with a structured qualification method and a modern prospecting stack is a plus.
- Personal: Self-directed and resilient, credible with a CFO and equally comfortable with an AP team. An existing network in the AU or NZ finance community is a plus.
