Location: Remote (Quebec, Ontario & The Maritimes)

Here's what we do and why we do it

Our team goal is to help our clients transform their business, meet their technology needs, and create new business opportunities. We achieve this by facilitating service management (ESM) with C2 ESM, a complete and innovative software solution, and enabling our client's transformation with the right cloud solutions. You will contribute to this goal by understanding your client’s business goals and objectives and enabling their transformation with the right SAAS solution. Succeeding in this role involves attaining your monthly sales objectives.

Here’s how you will contribute to the success of the company

The Business Development Manager will drive C2’s growth across Canada by generating net-new business within strategic public-sector and enterprise accounts. This hunter-focused role requires at least five years of B2B sales experience, strong account planning, and the ability to build trusted relationships and navigate complex sales cycles.

We are looking for a self-driven, organized professional who takes ownership of their territory, maintains disciplined CRM and pipeline management, and connects customer priorities to C2’s business value. Success requires sound judgement, initiative, clear follow-through, and a collaborative approach across Sales Leadership, Marketing, Presales, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success. The ideal candidate communicates openly, welcomes feedback, adapts to change, and seeks support when needed while remaining accountable for results.

Here’s what your day to day will look like

Develop and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline through disciplined outbound prospecting, strategic networking, cold outreach, social selling, referrals, events, and partner channels.

  • Own target-account development by researching organizations, identifying priority stakeholders, building account maps, and creating tailored engagement strategies.
  • Generate and qualify net-new opportunities based on business need, strategic fit, urgency, stakeholder access, procurement path, and revenue potential.
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover operational challenges, strategic priorities, decision criteria, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships with operational, technical, procurement, and executive stakeholders over extended sales cycles.
  • Advance opportunities through clear next steps, mutual action plans, strong follow-up, and effective coordination of internal resources.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on vertical and account-based campaigns that strengthen awareness, engagement, and pipeline conversion.
  • Partner with Presales, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success to present a coordinated and credible customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, account plans, opportunity notes, next steps, and pipeline forecasts.
  • Apply structured sales methodology and participate actively in pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent C2 at industry events, conferences, webinars, and customer meetings, with travel within the assigned region as required.
  • Bring market intelligence and customer feedback back to the organization to help strengthen positioning, campaigns, and go-to-market execution.

Here’s what you need to have and master to get the job

  • Minimum of five years of progressive B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in SaaS, enterprise technology, ITSM/ESM, cloud solutions, or the public sector.
  • Proven experience generating net-new pipeline and developing opportunities through proactive outbound activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and build relationships at operational and executive levels.
  • Strong consultative and value-based selling skills, with the ability to connect customer priorities to measurable business impact.
  • Fully bilingual in English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and disciplined opportunity, activity, and forecast management.
  • Knowledge of Canadian public-sector procurement cycles is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with IT service management, enterprise service management, SaaS, IaaS, or cloud technologies is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region, up to 50 percent.
