Job Title: Business Development Officer - HR Solutions
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: ₦150,000 per month
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Business Development Officer to drive growth for our HR solutions portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and selling HR products and services to organizations across Nigeria and beyond.
This is a remote role, so you’ll need to be self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable managing a pipeline entirely online.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for HR solutions including HR software, payroll, recruitment, training, and consulting services
- Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through cold calls, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with HR managers, CEOs, and decision-makers. Understand client pain points and position the right solutions
- Product Knowledge: Become an expert on our HR solutions and clearly communicate value, ROI, and competitive advantages
- Proposals & Negotiations: Prepare proposals, conduct product demos, and negotiate contracts to close deals
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor activity, industry trends, and provide feedback to improve our offerings
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide weekly updates on pipeline, activities, and forecasts
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years proven experience selling HR solutions, HR tech, payroll, recruitment services, or B2B SaaS to corporate clients
- Track Record: Demonstrable history of meeting/exceeding sales quotas
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Comfortable with virtual demos and Zoom/Meet sales calls
- Tools: Proficient with CRM tools, Google Workspace, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Mindset: Hunter mentality, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or related field is an advantage
