Role Description
The Head of Sales and Business Development is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for leading the sales strategy, driving new business opportunities, and expanding AfriBioTech’s presence across Africa and the EMEA region. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing sales plans, managing key accounts, identifying and nurturing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align commercial initiatives with product development and training offerings, as well as preparing forecasts, performance reports, and market insights for leadership. The Head of Sales and Business Development will also mentor and supervise the sales team, implement best practices in sales management, and ensure customer-focused service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute regional and continental sales strategies.
- Lead commercial planning, forecasting, and revenue growth.
- Oversee the full sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.
Business Development
- Identify and convert high‑value business opportunities.
- Build strategic partnerships with corporates, government agencies, and training institutions.

- Manage long‑term client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
. Minimum 10 years senior‑level experience in Sales and Business Development.
. Strong experience developing and executing regional sales strategies.
. Proven account management and client relationship skills.
. Demonstrated team leadership and coaching experience.
. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
. Experience in corporate training, Lean deployment, or project management is highly beneficial.
. Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business, Marketing, or related field.
. Relevant certifications (Lean Green Belt, Lean Black Belt, Project Management, etc.) are an advantage.
. Strong professional network in operational excellence and Lean deployment.
. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

- ₦10,000,000 – ₦15,000,000 annual salary (based on experience & certifications)
