We're looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and confident Business Development Representative to join our Internal Sales team at Esri UK.
This is a brand-new position and a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, building relationships and discovering new business opportunities.
You'll play an important role in supporting Esri UK's continued growth by connecting with potential customers, sparking conversations and introducing organisations to the exciting ways our technology can help them.
Whether you've already gained experience in sales or are looking for your first opportunity to build a career in business development, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Making proactive outbound calls to prospective customers, introducing Esri UK and generating interest in our products and solutions.
- Researching potential customers, identifying opportunities and finding the right people to speak with.
- Connecting with prospects through telephone calls, emails and LinkedIn to build relationships and start meaningful conversations.
- Qualifying leads by asking questions, understanding customer needs and identifying where our solutions could add value.
- Arranging meetings and passing qualified opportunities to our wider Sales teams.
- Reconnecting with existing contacts and previous enquiries to explore potential new opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information and activity records using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success to support campaigns and business development initiatives.
This would be a great career move if you…
- Enjoy talking to people and feel confident picking up the phone to start a conversation.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport naturally.
- Are curious, enjoy asking questions and take an interest in understanding people's challenges.
- Have a proactive, positive approach and enjoy working towards goals and targets.
- Are resilient, motivated and comfortable handling rejection while maintaining enthusiasm.
- Are organised, able to manage your own workload and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
- Have an interest in technology, sales or business development and are keen to develop your skills.
- Are eager to learn, take on new challenges and build a rewarding career in sales.
Previous experience in sales, telesales, customer service or business development would be beneficial, but isn't essential. We're equally interested in individuals who bring the right attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn.
Why join us?
At Esri UK, you'll be part of a growing, ambitious company where people are encouraged to bring their ideas, develop their careers and make a real difference.
We pride ourselves on having a friendly, collaborative and supportive culture, where you'll work alongside knowledgeable colleagues who genuinely want to see you succeed.
This is a brilliant opportunity to develop your commercial skills, gain exposure to different industries and build a long-term career within a leading technology organisation.

- Annual bonus scheme
- 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and additional company closure days
