Why this one

Thousands of small and mid-sized companies still run HR on Excel, paper and email. Our client has built the software that replaces all of that. It is a well-funded European scale-up with around 1,500 people, a product customers genuinely like, and a market that is still mostly untapped. Pre-IPO equity is part of the package.

This is your chance to join the Amsterdam team while it is still small, where every hire is visible and the way up is clear.

The role

You open the door for the Benelux. You are the first contact for strategic accounts, and you work in Dutch: about 90 to 95% of conversations are in Dutch. You research the account, find the right people, and start conversations that turn into real pipeline for the Account Executives.

What you will do

  • Reach strategic accounts by cold call, email and social selling, working towards a monthly quota of qualified opportunities
  • Research accounts and industries, and build your own book of business
  • Talk to decision makers to uncover their pains and goals, and judge whether the product fits
  • Handle the usual outbound pushback and keep opportunities moving
  • Reach several decision makers at the same account, with a plan for each
  • Build pipeline for a team of Account Executives
  • Stay sharp on HR tech and the way HR teams work

Who you are

  • You have 6+ months of outbound experience in B2B SaaS, tech or cloud sales
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English
  • You are competitive, resilient and driven
  • You are curious about the person on the other end of the line, and you listen before you respond
  • You take feedback and apply it on the next call
  • You use AI in your daily workflow and know when to trust it and when to step in
  • You want a long-term career in sales
  • Bonus: HR tech, workforce management or cloud experience, and the ability to talk to senior executives

Where it takes you

There are clear levels within the BDR role, from BDR 1 up to senior. From there, people move into Account Executive, Account Manager or Customer Success roles. This is not a theory: a BDR from this team was promoted to Account Executive just recently. Consistent results, extra projects and a steady level get you noticed.

What you get

  • 42K-48K base salary, OTE 65K-72K, uncapped commission
  • Hybrid work: 3 days in the Amsterdam office, and 20 flex days a year to work from elsewhere
  • 28 vacation days, plus one extra day after 2 and 4 years
  • One fully paid Impact Day a year
  • Family leave, child support, mental health support and sabbatical options
  • A weekly catered lunch, snacks, drinks and company events
