About StrangeBee 🐝
StrangeBee started in 2018 with a simple idea from the creators of TheHive and Cortex: give security teams open tools that actually help them respond to incidents. Today, TheHive is used by thousands of security analysts in 43 countries. We’re a team of 90 people across Paris, Barcelona, the US and we’re growing the hive. Want to contribute?

How we work

  • Customer Centric: we build for real security teams facing real threats.

  • Quest for Excellence: “good enough” isn’t our standard.

  • Embrace Change: cyber moves fast, and so do we. If something could be better, say it.

  • One Team: trust, open communication and psychological safety, across titles and teams.

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative to fuel our sales pipeline, from prospecting new accounts to qualifying the leads Marketing brings in. Based in Paris or Barcelona, you’ll work hand in hand with our Account Executives to create the first relationships with prospects and hand over opportunities they can rely on. You sit at the entry point of our go-to-market engine: the quality of your qualification shapes every deal that follows.

The essentials

  • Location: Paris or Barcelona, hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

  • Contract: Permanent, full-time

  • Reports to: VP Sales

  • Salary: 38 k€ – 48k€ base/year, 70% fixed / 30% variable

  • Travel: Occasional events

What you’ll do

  • Identify high-potential accounts in our target regions and segments, map decision-makers and book qualified meetings through calls, emails, social selling and events

  • Respond quickly to inbound leads from Marketing (demo requests, webinars, content downloads) and prioritize them by fit and urgency

  • Run discovery calls with a structured methodology (Sandler or equivalent), and disqualify politely when a lead isn’t a fit

  • Nurture prospects who aren’t ready yet with relevant content and regular, high-quality follow-ups

  • Prepare clear handovers and organize transition meetings with Account Executives

  • Share recurring objections and market insights with Marketing and Sales leadership to sharpen our messaging

  • Keep HubSpot clean and reliable: lead source, response times, qualification outcomes and next steps

What success looks like

  • First 3 months: you know our product, our ICP and the basics of SOC / CSIRT / CERT environments, and you’re booking your first qualified meetings

  • By 6 months: you consistently hit your meeting and pipeline targets, with handovers AEs trust without double-checking

  • By 12 months: you’re a key contributor to pipeline generation and help refine our outbound and inbound playbooks

What you bring

  • 2+ years of experience in sales development, prospecting or lead generation, ideally in B2B software or complex sales

  • You’ve handled both outbound prospecting and inbound lead response with the same rigor

  • You know at least one qualification methodology (Sandler, BANT, MEDDIC…) and use a CRM daily, ideally HubSpot

  • You write personalized outreach that gets answers and build rapport quickly on the phone

  • You take initiative, do what you say you’ll do, and put the prospect’s real interest first, even when it means qualifying out

  • You stay resilient in the face of rejection and disciplined on speed-to-lead

  • A genuine interest in cybersecurity: no technical background needed, just the curiosity to learn the fundamentals

  • Fluent French and English, written and spoken, wherever you’re based

Nice to have

  • Experience in cybersecurity or B2B SaaS

  • Spanish [useful for the Barcelona team and Iberian market]

  • Experience with market analysis and segmentation

Don’t tick every box? Apply anyway. This list is a guide, not a checklist. We care more about how you think and learn than about a perfect match.

What we offer

  • Hybrid work: 2 days in the office

  • Health insurance: coverage : tbd depending on the country

  • Equipment: laptop and setup provided

  • Team life: offsites, team events, the TheHive community

  • Benefiz health insurance, 100% employer-paid

  • Benefiz allowance of €12.62 net per day worked, usable for a wide range of expenses (restaurants, groceries, rent, electricity bills, etc.)

  • Vacation bonus

  • 25 days of paid time off

  • Additional RTT days off per the company calendar (Syntec collective agreement)

Our hiring process
We keep it transparent and respectful of your time: 5 steps, and an answer at every stage, even if it’s a no.

  1. Discovery call with Talent Acquisition (30 min)

  2. Interview with our VP Sales (45 min)

  3. Role-play exercise with our VP Sales and a team member (1h15)

  4. Team interview with a future colleague (45 min)

  5. Final fit interview with our Head of HR (30 min)

We may run a reference check before making an offer.

At StrangeBee, we hire for skills and potential. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. If you need any adjustment during the process, just let us know.
