- Draft responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), motions, and supporting legal documentation.
- Handle PERM labor certification applications and employment-based permanent residency matters from initiation through approval.
- Advise employers and foreign nationals on immigration strategies, compliance requirements, and work authorization issues.
- Assist with family-based immigration matters, including adjustment of status applications, marriage-based petitions, and naturalization filings.
- Counsel clients regarding Form I-9 compliance, employment eligibility verification requirements, and related workplace immigration issues.
- Draft legal memoranda, client correspondence, and case-specific guidance on evolving immigration regulations and policies.
- Maintain responsibility for case management, workflow oversight, and adherence to filing deadlines.
- Monitor changes in immigration law and provide strategic updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice in New York and good standing.
- 2-3 years of business immigration experience in a law firm environment.
- Experience handling both employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters.
- Exposure to PERM labor certifications and employment-based green card processes.
- Familiarity with family-based immigration matters and naturalization applications is a plus.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong client-service orientation with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
