We are seeking driven, entrepreneurial Business Insurance Consultants who enjoy building relationships, generating new business, and helping organizations reduce risk. Position Summary The Business Insurance Consultant is responsible for developing new commercial insurance opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and executives. This is a business development-focused role where success is rewarded through an attractive commission structure with significant earning potential. Responsibilities Develop new commercial insurance opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach. Meet with business owners, executives, CFOs, HR leaders, and operations teams to evaluate insurance needs. Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate commercial insurance solutions. Present proposals and coordinate with carrier and brokerage partners to deliver competitive solutions. Build and maintain a strong pipeline using CRM tools. Maintain regular follow-up with prospects and clients. Develop relationships with referral partners, including: CPAs Commercial bankers Payroll providers HR consultants Business attorneys Chambers of Commerce Industry associations Cross-refer opportunities for employee benefits, executive protection, security consulting, risk assessments, investigations, cybersecurity, and other Legacy Protection Group services when appropriate. Stay informed on commercial insurance products, industry trends, and risk management best practices. Products You'll Help Clients Obtain General Liability Commercial Property Workers' Compensation Commercial Auto Business Owner's Policies (BOP) Umbrella & Excess Liability Professional Liability (E&O) Directors & Officers (D&O) Employment Practices Liability (EPLI) Cyber Liability Crime & Fidelity Inland Marine Builders Risk Commercial Package Policies Specialty Industry Programs Ideal Candidate Strong business development and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Comfortable networking with business owners and executive leadership. Organized and able to manage a sales pipeline independently. Professional, ethical, and client-focused. Previous B2B sales experience is preferred. Commercial insurance experience is preferred but not required. Active Property & Casualty insurance license is preferred or willingness to obtain one, if required for the role.
