The Role
The Business Intelligence and Power BI Specialist will play a key role in transforming data into clear, reliable and commercially relevant insight that supports better decision-making across our global business.
Working within the Business Insights Team, you’ll take ownership of developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards, management reporting and the data structures behind them. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you’ll turn business requirements into practical, user-friendly reporting solutions that people can trust.
You’ll also help shape the future of our reporting environment, using automation, technology and improved data practices to make reporting more efficient, scalable and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing and maintaining high-quality Power BI reports, dashboards and data visualisations
- Working with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate requirements into practical solutions
- Producing clear, accurate and decision-ready management information for senior management and business teams
- Improving the structure, consistency and accessibility of source data and reporting datasets
- Supporting the development of a reliable single source of truth for key business metrics
- Managing recurring reporting cycles, data refreshes and quality assurance, including investigating and resolving data or reporting issues
- Identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting, simplify data flows and improve reporting processes and controls
- Presenting insights and trends clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Leading or contributing to business intelligence, reporting and data improvement projects
- Undertaking targeted competitor, sector, jurisdictional and client research where required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong practical experience designing, developing and supporting Power BI reports and dashboards, ideally within a commercial environment
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with structured datasets, with a strong understanding of data quality, validation and governance
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into effective reporting and data solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain data, insights and technical concepts clearly to senior and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to take ownership of work, manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
- Demonstrates technological curiosity and adaptability, using technology, data and new digital tools to improve processes, decision-making and service delivery
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. Microsoft Power BI certification and experience within financial, legal or professional services would be advantageous
