Job Description Summary
Support the delivery of Enterprise Payments Standards and Monitoring activities, including the development and maintenance of enterprise payments standards and requirements, administration and validation of monitoring and attestation programs, enterprise monitoring of payments health, issue and thematic analysis, governance reporting, and stakeholder guidance. Provide specialized advice and management insight to promote consistent application of enterprise payments requirements, transparency of performance and risk, timely escalation of systemic concerns, and effective oversight, while maintaining clear accountability with business and functional owners for implementation and remediation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER
- Support the development, implementation, interpretation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise payments standards, requirements, and supporting guidance.
- Administer assigned components of payments monitoring, attestation, and attestation programs, including scheduling, communications, stakeholder follow-up, review status, and final reporting.
- Maintain program tools, records, role assignments, accountability-owner information, review archives, and supporting documentation to preserve accuracy and auditability.
- Evaluate rationale submitted through monitoring, attestation, and attestation processes; apply sound judgment to assess alignment with requirements; and document conclusions, deficiencies, and required follow-up actions.
- Serve as an Enterprise Payments Standards and Monitoring subject matter expert for business, control, governance, technology, and project partners requiring guidance on enterprise payments standards, monitoring, attestation, governance, or evidence expectations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders outside Enterprise Payments Standards and Monitoring to manage expectations, promote consistent interpretation of requirements, and support timely delivery of program commitments.
- Participate in initiatives and projects that may affect existing payments standards or require the development of new or revised requirements.
SHAREHOLDER
- Monitor adherence to enterprise payments standards and requirements and support formal monitoring, attestation, validation, and reporting activities across applicable Canadian and U.S. businesses.
- Consolidate and perform thematic analysis of payment-related issues, findings, incidents, non-conformance, and remediation status from relevant enterprise sources to identify trends and systemic concerns.
- Track management-owned remediation commitments and issues identified through evidence validation; assess ownership, materiality, status, and evidence of closure; and escalate overdue, unresolved, ambiguous, or higher-risk matters through established governance.
- Prepare governance materials, decision-quality insights, escalation summaries, action tracking, and follow-through for applicable payments governance forums, including reporting on monitoring and attestation activities, validation results, identified gaps, emerging themes, overdue actions, and remediation progress.
- Support resolution and remediation of standards, monitoring, attestation, or governance issues by coordinating with accountability owners, business partners, and control functions and monitoring agreed actions through closure.
- Recommend enhancements to enterprise payments standards, monitoring and attestation methodologies, supporting procedures, tools, and reporting based on validation results, stakeholder feedback, regulatory developments, and emerging payments risks.
- Draft updates to existing payments standards and supporting guidance, and contribute to development of new standards where required.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and retrievable program records in accordance with applicable governance, records-management, and evidence-retention expectations.
- Promote a strong risk and control culture by ensuring Enterprise Payments requirements are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and supported by credible evidence.
EMPLOYEE / TEAM
- Provide specialized knowledge and practical guidance on Enterprise Payments Standards and Monitoring processes, requirements, and controls.
- Collaborate across Canadian and U.S. Enterprise Payments Standards and Monitoring resources to support consistent program execution while addressing jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Communicate standards, monitoring and attestation expectations, validation outcomes, and identified issues clearly and professionally to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, data quality, stakeholder experience, documentation, and reporting.
- Support knowledge transfer, procedure development, cross-training, and continuity of critical standards, monitoring, attestation, and governance activities across the team.
BREADTH & DEPTH
- Work independently within a specialized Enterprise Payments Standards and Monitoring function, exercising judgment in monitoring and attestation activities, issue identification, stakeholder follow-up, and escalation.
- Support end-to-end delivery of assigned standards, monitoring, attestation, and governance activities, from planning and communication through validation, reporting, issue management, and record retention.
- Interpret complex payments requirements and provide informed recommendations to business, risk, control, governance, and project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple concurrent deliverables and dependencies across programs within established timelines and governance expectations.
- Contribute to work with broad business or enterprise impact and provide work direction or guidance to other team members where required.
- Generally reports to a Senior Manager or executive role.

- Undergraduate degree
- 7+ years relevant experience
