Business Process Analyst
Position Type: Full Time, exempt employee.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually; DOE.
Location: We are only seeking candidates that can work on-site at our Service Center located in San Juan Capistrano, CA. This position offers a hybrid work option after a 90-day probationary period (not fully remote).

About the Opportunity
The Accounting Process Innovation (“PI”) team exists to connect the dots between humans and the technology that enables them to succeed. As a subset of the Accounting Systems group, the PI team partners with fellow Service Center teams to solve problems in a variety of ways, including system implementation support, end-user training, robotic process automation, and more.
As part of this team, the Business Process Analyst specializes in understanding complex end-to-end processes that span multiple systems. This role serves as a bridge between the accounting department and various technical teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and proposed solutions meet end-users’ needs.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, possesses strong accounting skills, and is willing to dive into the details to understand the unique needs of our organization.
Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead exploratory walkthroughs, document end-to-end transaction flows, and analyze business requirements in processes spanning multiple systems and/or requiring custom workflow solutions
  • Finance system implementation support:
    • Assist with configuration design to ensure end-to-end data flow needs are met in new or changed systems
    • Document current & future state process flows to align teams on requirements and anticipated changes to roles/responsibilities
    • Identify data conversion needs & partner with relevant teams to design, execute, and validate conversion processes
    • Support change management activities including training, communication, adoption, and troubleshooting during hypercare
  • Collaborate with accounting automation developers on design, testing, & change management for higher-complexity Power Platform projects
  • Build trust and foster relationships with business & technical teams to promote cross-functional partnerships
  • Integration testing/ongoing data reconciliations between various systems
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years in an accounting, auditing, or business analysis role
  • Strong understanding of accounting information systems (Workday Financials preferred)
  • Proficiency with process mapping and data tools (e.g. Visio/Lucid, Excel/Power Query)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and process documentation skills
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business needs into clear problem statements and requirements
  • Comfortable facilitating discussions, asking challenging questions, and driving alignment across functions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ERP implementations (Workday Financials or other enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience working with large datasets and related analysis tools (e.g. Alteryx, KNIME, Power Query)
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects
