Job Summary
The Business Process Automation Specialist is responsible for analyzing, improving, and automating operational processes across Syfan Logistics to enhance efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and service quality. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations, particularly freight brokerage and 3PL environments. Working closely with operational teams, the individual will identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement practical solutions using automation and AI-driven technologies, including HappyRobot.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze freight brokerage and logistics workflows to identify inefficiencies, operational challenges, and opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Design, configure, implement, and continuously improve automated workflows using HappyRobot and other approved automation platforms.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and team members to understand business needs, evaluate existing processes, and develop practical automation solutions.
- Translate operational requirements into effective automated workflows, coordinating with IT when technical development or system integrations are required.
- Test, monitor, and troubleshoot automated processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistent operational performance.
- Evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs, prompts, and automated decisions to ensure alignment with operational requirements and customer service standards.
- Monitor automation performance, measure results, and recommend improvements that increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Maintain process documentation, support employee training and adoption, and ensure automation solutions follow established company standards.
Experience and Skills
- Experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or 3PL operations, with a strong understanding of daily operational workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and business process improvement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements.
- Experience with business process automation, workflow configuration, or AI-driven automation platforms strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with HappyRobot, Power Automate, or similar automation technologies is a plus.
- Ability to evaluate, test, troubleshoot, and optimize automated workflows and AI-generated results.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational teams and IT.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems, particularly McLeod, preferred; ability to manage multiple priorities and independently lead improvement initiatives.
